Please explain how to make crockpot corn on the cob! an easy, healthy corn on the cob recipe!

hello and welcome to cooking lessons for Dad my name is Karen brayer and today I have my dad with me and we are going to make corn on the cob in the crock pot and it's like a really really easy way to make corn and I know you love corn I do yeah a lot of corn yeah you said he grew up on a farm and when we were kids we used to visit his farm where his parents lived and we used to have as kids used to have contests to see who could eat the most ears of corn and we used to like pile up our cobs and then at the end count to see who won and ate the most corn corn keeps uh Karen keeps calling this corn on the cob we used to call it sweet corn because we had the designate the difference between sweet corn for humans that you would grow in the garden and field corn which was more for animal use like pigs and his death yep so the ingredients in this recipe are corn that we've already husk and water and that's it and now you being bought corn from the store that was already husks so it's getting really easy now okay so the first thing that we're going to do is we're going to place our corn and a crock pot and I have eight years and if the corn is too big you're going to go ahead and break them in half but these are already kind of trimmed up so we're just going to go ahead and put eight ears in and you put the amount of water let's see if all these are going to fit if you have for two to four years of corn you're going to put 1/3 cup of water for five to ten ears you're going to put a half a cup of water so we've got eight so I'm going to put a half a cup of water you just pour it right in put the lid on and we're gonna cook it on high for like one in three quarter hours to about two and a half you want to make sure it's cooked how you like it and tender crisp is how I describe how I like it sounds good so probably it'll be done around two hours so I'm going to go ahead and set the timer for high for two hours and I'll check it if it's not quite done enough then I'll add another half hour and check it after probably 15 minutes to 30 minutes okay so we're going to go ahead and put it on high put it on two hours and there we go well go ahead and we're going to come back in two hours bye okay so our corn is done it's been cooking in the crock pot about two hours and 15 minutes and it's looking very beautiful through the lid so let's try some looks great huh so you want to cook it until it's tender crisp and actually we could we could check it with a fork but it looks perfect to me yeah it's nice and just right so the next thing we need to do is just try some okay so how easy was that all you need is your corn water you cook it you can go do something else while it's cooking and then it's finished do you think you could do it oh and if you want to buy a corn that's already husk that makes it even easier but I know corn is one of our favorite foods so we just want to let it cool a bit let's go ahead and put some butter and salt if you like you know when if you don't like butter I mean my husband Ken have tried some cashew butter and that was really good too so and if you want you can get some of those little corn holders that you poke in the end makes it easier so you don't burn your fingers some salt so we might wait a minute for it to cool off oh you're gonna go for it Bruce okay well let's go for it okay hmm hmm wow this is so good perfectly cooked you gotta try it let me know how it turns out and have a great day we're gonna we have eight years probably for each last maybe two days okay have a great day
