Please explain how to make vegan waffles | vegan breakfast ideas | the edgy veg

(laughing) - Well there's our bloopers video (mouth slobbering) Today on the Edgy Veg,
I'm going to show you how to make funfetti waffles
for like mother's day or birthday parties or
anything else that you need colorful breakfast. (upbeat music) Subscriber of the week
this week is B Villa. She commented on the Creamy
Mushroom Pasta video. Made it, loved it, thanks for the recipe. Thank you so much for
making this recipe B Villa I'm so glad that you liked it. And if you wanna be a subscriber
of the week next week, make sure that I see you, leave a comment on every single video and follow me on all of my social media. The links are all in the
description box below. You guys have been loving
the breakfast recipes so much I thought I
would continue the trend and give you guys a new one. Plus it's spring but it's
that weird time of spring where it's raining and gray all day long. So I definitely wanted
something that was fun and colorful to help perk up my breakfast. These colorful waffles are inspired by funfetti birthday cake. I used to love eating that
growing up and you know what I'm maybe like almost 30 years
old but I still love to eat all those recipes that I loved as a kid and I know that you guys
will like these as well. The first thing we are going to do is heat up our waffle iron. If you do not have a waffle
iron, you can definitely turn this recipe into pancakes as well. In a large bowl, we are
going to wisp together two cups of white unbleached flower, half a cup of cane sugar, one tablespoon of baking powder and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Whisk that until there
are no lumps or clumps and set that aside. In a large bowl with a
hand mixer or if you have a stand mixer, you can use that as well, we are going to beat six
tablespoons of aquafaba. Aquafaba is the bean water that you get when you open a can of chickpeas. If you have chickpeas that you're using in any recipe at all,
just keep that liquid for when you are baking and
you need to replace egg. This stuff is amazing. You wanna beat that until
it's light and foamy, kind of resembling egg whites. To our aquafaba we are
going to add a third cup of vegetable oil or
coconut oil, you're choice. One cup unsweetened almond
milk and two teaspoons vanilla. Mix that until smooth. Now we are going to add
that to our flour mixture and beat that until smooth. Now we're going to take
a third cup of sprinkles and we're going to fold
that into our batter. If you don't know where to
get vegan friendly sprinkles, I'm going to leave a link in
the description box below. Now I'm going to grease my waffle pan. If you have a non stick waffle pan, you can completely just skip this step. But I'm going to add about
one cup of the waffle mix onto the waffle maker and cook
that for about four minutes or until it's nice and golden brown. And then just repeat that
with the rest of the batter. (upbeat music) To serve these guys, you
can serve just as they are or with maple syrup but
my favorite is to top them with whip cream, more
sprinkles or a little bit of fresh fruit if you're
interested in that. (upbeat music) And there you have it guys,
fun delicious funfetti waffles. Let's give these guys a try. Oh my god, it's like I'm
five years old again. These are perfect hey, so good. Yum! Alright guys I hope that
you love this recipe as much as I do and also, I am going to Italy in three weeks and Spain so I'm calling all
of my Italian and Spanish Edgy Veggies, we are
