now we would love to show off our adorable rescue pets every day here on you and me especially mondays when they come into the studio yep and yesterday rescue dog Dover from romp rescue was hugging Melissa tight look wouldn't let go now while pets are a great addition to most families there are a lot of expenses that come along with our furry friends so John Hans's in the Jefferson Park neighborhood at a spot that helps make owning a pet a bit more affordable morning John good morning guys yeah we were waiting way too much fun up here at retails I made quite a mister with timber and timber still confused looking around at all these tennis balls and I promised Lauren here I'd help clean up afterwards after we leave so we don't leave her with this whole mess but you guys do some awesome stuff here up at retails if you got a new pet or an old pet or whatever you got you got some really affordable things here and we do we have some great items so we're always looking for new if you've got some gently loved items in hidden sitting around your house please bring them in we're also doing a great event this this Saturday yeah so let's talk about this we're talking about paw balm which is something I mean to make sense it's balm for your paws not your paws I guess you could for your pets paws because what would the ice and the concrete and the salt and gets really messy right absolutely just like us our hands get dry and our Thika try this winter if same thing happens to your pets are out there in the elements walking on salt and ice and snow and we're doing a DIY clinic this Saturday you can sign up on our Facebook page retails pet supplies and it's just natural ingredients we've got these wax shea butter coconut coconut oil as well as olive oil and we're putting them in these lip balm size tubes and they just go right on the pads of your pets off and you rub it in and moisturizes them so you're gonna make it here on Saturday and show people how to do it right we are for six dollars you can go home with two of your own all-natural balms for your pets exactly I will put the ingredients on there if you want to do it yourself at home if you can't make it up to the north west side it's right off the blue line there's a park nearby too and a pet groomer just down the street too so it's a it's a perfect leg make a day out of bringing your pet up here absolutely hopefully the weather's supposed to be nice and bring your pets in maybe not for the event but we do welcome pets as well as long as there are leashed and well-behaved well that's got to be the fun part of the job you get to see a bunch of dogs and cats and stuff come on in right absolutely especially when we do fun fashion events are you gonna do the tennis ball trick for all the dogs are coming on okay so our facebook question today we are asking everyone out there now about how you love your pets of course but we want to know sometimes pets aren't the best they do the some mean things perhaps or naughty things we could say Debbie chimed in she filled in the blank with she loves her pets all the time that they think their bed is theirs when they she tries to get in it looks like she has an intruder there were there two dogs there Susan her pet always dresses for dinner oh that's a little cute little bowtie there on Susan Cindy says when Cubbie lifted his leg and peed on my couch that happens sometimes but look a little copy Cindy he's cute Felicia chimed in unfortunately number one out of fear of the furniture movers but all she looks really cute there Laurie chimed in and says the guy ate a whole skillet of oil and cooked chicken threw up all over there was oil everywhere no worries she's fine she just had to clean for two hours and Paula chimed in even when she pretends to go potty outside so she can get her snack then she comes in and actually does the business inside so we all love our pets they do goofy things but what a great opportunity to save a few dollars and buy something gently used for a good cause thank you so much for having us up here today Laura thanks for coming up I really enjoyed it absolutely fun day Jean Melissa back up to you guys we're gonna play with timber some more we love that to me is it hog heaven no I mean those balls everywhere she's still looking for that one right the original and all she used to have like last week exactly
