hi I'm brie from riding warehouse and this is Rocket and today I'm gonna help you decide what size cinch to purchase for your horse to measure for the correct size since you'll need a soft seamstress style measuring tape or a piece of string that you can measure with a different measuring tape afterwards what we're measuring is the heart girth so it's going to go all the way around him at the base of the withers and a few inches behind the elbow so just about where your cinch would lie so Rockets really used to the tape so I'm really comfortable throwing it over him and I catch it just like a normal a cinch underneath him and I'm going just a few inches behind the elbow like we discussed right at the base of the wither so he's about at 74 so when you go ahead and divide that by two that's gonna be 37 and then you subtract 3 from that value so he's gonna be a size 34 cinch so again you take your heart growth measurement divide that number by 2 and then subtract 3 if you fall in between a cinch size measurement you can just go up a size so if he had fallen it like a 33 I would have gone up to a 34 so that was a quick look on how to measure your horse for the correct inch size for more product videos and how-to videos please visit us at riding warehouse com you
