alright guys this is la digger 81 back here to do a revised version of my electrolysis video I just put on YouTube a couple days ago I got in a hurry and I had put my leads in the wrong spot and I don't want nobody to mess up one of their their iron relics that can clarify the positive goes to here and the negative goes to whatever you're cleaning so now I'm just gonna go ahead and go back through it I know some of you've already seen it but uh you know I got my here's my Michelle my Hotchkiss yeah I found a couple videos back and here it is all cleaned up turned out real good I think and it's got the we diffused it right there don't recommend doing it but we did it with a we did it with a automated drill press we were a long ways from it and had the shell in water and and it was down in a hole just in case it decided it wanted to blow up for some weird reason no one would be near it but uh anyway here's this some of the pieces I cleaned just recently and it turned out pretty good I think there's a shell fragment it was my first one that I found he's pretty excited about that then I got a bunch of these we're gonna put them back together they all kind of fit look like where the Boorman fuse the thing went in there and there's a bottom of a Hotchkis shell I cleaned I did have it hooked to that but uh the the glue was kind of trying to fall falls off and here's some cannon ball shells fragments and that's what these are you know this is what you start out looking like and I've got my this is basically how I do it there's my car charger I got it set on the tan amp setting and it's just uh an older car try and I've heard you don't want to use the automatic ones they don't work as well they don't work for very long these are just I think you could still get some of these at Walmart I'm not sure but when I was looking at I'm pretty sure just like this one but uh anyway I take like I said the here's the I went to Walmart and got a just didn't it was like a $2.00 extension cord cutting in about five pieces had to have the leads I mean the the ends showing bare wires coming out and then do the same on this end and I had you just take a drill bit and drill it deep enough into the fragment just to steep enough to get you a screw those screw in there and then take them and just tie the copper ends around the screws and dunk them in the bath and I'm using flashing here's like I'm just in comics and roof flashing and get Lowe's or wherever and sometimes I'll use a bigger piece of iron this one I don't know where my big piece wind I had some where they'll use it for my shell but uh it's quite a bit bigger than this but this works real good for I know all these smaller things I'm doing but I think it's got about I don't know two three gallons of water in it with I put a cup of baking soda in it and it seems to work real good so now I've got once I get I think they're you know good and done like these I left in there for about three hours and they were good enough for what I wanted to do with them and I just kind of take them out tap them with a hammer and then I got my drill here with the brush this guy's up you know wire brush got at Lowe's and hit him with that and client kind of gets everything else that sort of clinging on just a little bit and instead I'm out in the Sun and have I'll spray them with this polyurethane clear coat and it's a flat so it's not shiny too much but there's still kind of little shiny so I'll hit them with this steel wool after they dry for a few minutes and they turned out pretty good so I'm I'm impressed I'm happy with it I like the way it looks and I know some of the guys use like paraffin wax I think and I just don't have any that right now so that's why I use the the poly ting the clear coat I just want to get to where I would entrust no more and preserve them they display a lot better like this you know some people might wonder why you're cleaning fragments but I think they're pretty cool and you can display them better where there's not junk falling off of them and I'll continue to rust so but uh yeah and you can see it right now it's it's working good so you can see all the bubbles coming up and the water kind of got a little currents in it and it's turning and swirling around but anyway it'll sit there and like I said come to three hours your fragments a B they look like that after you wire brush I'm just real quick and but anyway that's that's how I do it and you know I haven't been doing this a long time but this is basically the first time I've done it between these fragments and in this show and I just got my information from my awkward sugar off his video and then got some tips from the occasion corn hunter so appreciate all the information guys but there it is that's how I do it so I said seems to work pretty good but uh we'll get back with you guys on the next video
