hello friends today I am going to show you how to make Google Codell is a different kind of sambar which is unique to Mangalore style cooking I am using breadfruit as my vegetable today it's also called gqj if you have fresh bread fruit please use that if not like I have done here I am using frozen one that I got it from the store you can do it the same dish with any other vegetable of your choice Cadell is a coconut based gravy it's not made with dal or sambar powder so we make gravy based on coconut and then we make our own masala so here is what we need we need a cup of grated coconut and using frozen one as you see here but fresh one is preferred we need three teaspoons of coriander seeds one and a half teaspoons of or Adal 1/2 a teaspoon of jeera seeds and a couple of red chillies now you can add more red chillies if you need more spice I am going to first pressure cook the vegetable my great breadfruit vegetable for just one vessel I added a little bit of salt and just a little bit of tamarind juice as well my next step is to prepare the masala for the gravy I'm checking my ingredients and I'm frying them a little bit in oil Here I am lightly frying this ingredients in all keep a watch on it I mean it will get you you get a nice fragrance as it flies from the coriander but make sure you take it out on time switch off the flame on time because it gets back very quickly our next step is to grind the masala so in a blender I have taken one and a half cups of grated coconut and also the fried must our masala ingredients I am going to mix them now together into very very smooth paste with the with the addition of some water I'm going to pour out the masala into this vessel you stream the blender also with some water that way we get every bit of masala to your credit so I think that's that's good now next we'll add the vegetables my vegetables are nicely cooked remember it's the breadfruit WZ bouge I'm going to add this also okay next we'll add a little bit more of water and then allow it to boil for five minutes I'll allow it to boil now is the time to add salt according to your taste as well so I added a teaspoon of salt okay I have let it boil and the last step in the process is to just season the Codel with mustard seeds just simple plain mustard seeds seasoning is good enough and we are all done with this I'll try it out if you need to as a salt you can do that and enjoy this dish or side dish or sambar or coddle with rice or it can also be used with the idlis or though sauce thanks for watching hope you will try this out if you have any questions please post a comment and I'll respond as quickly as possible
