Please explain how to apply - menards

Sealing an asphalt driveway not only
extends the life of the pavement, it also gives the driveway a brand new appearance.
Today we will show you how to give your driveway a fresh, new look with Sealbest driveway sealer
from Menards! Before you start, trim back grass adjacent to your driveway and sweep
off any debris, ensuring that you have a clean surface to work with. Next, fill any cracks
with crack filler. A putty knife works best for striking off the sealant. If there are
stains, neutralize them with a cleaner. Use a screwdriver to dig out any debris from the
crack in front of your garage and at the end of your drive way. Fill these cracks in with
filler as well. If you have a sidewalk, cover and tape it off so the sealer won t get on
it. Take your buckets of sealer and turn them upside-down and lightly shake to loosen up
the material before opening. For a clean looking job, start by brushing the sealer around each
edge of your driveway. Next, pour a ribbon of sealer acrossed the width of your driveway.
Take your applicator, and using the brush side, spread the sealer out at a 45 degree
angle to get a thin coating. Then flip the applicator over to the squeegee side, and
make a pass back over for a smooth finish. Continue this process until your entire driveway
is sealed. Be sure to start at the garage side of your driveway and work your way down,
so you don t back yourself into a corner while applying. Let your driveway seal for 24 hours,
then repeat the same process again. Once finished, let it cure for another 24 hours without driving
or walking on it to ensure the material seals properly. That s it! Now you have restored
a rich, black finish to your driveway that will last for years to come! To stay up-to-date
