hey guys James here gonna show you how I prefer to clean and cook trout and kokanee if I'm not going to fillet them this is a really great easy way to cook and prepare them so as you can see already had the fish descale and cleaned the heads off then all you do is you take the fish and kind of laid out and we're going to butterfly the fish open so if you want to cut it right down next to the rib bone there's some really nice kokanee that i caught today from Odell things cut really nice alright see how we kind of opened it up there from the rib bone we're gonna go ahead and get this on the cooker and we'll show you the next stage as we get it into the frying pan from here I'm just going to coat it in flour a little bit of salt a little bit of pepper that's it alright this is what it looks like with the flour salt and pepper on it we have a frying pan right over here all set to drop the fish on and you just want to brown it really nicely cooked just a little while on each side to make sure it's on the bottom side before you flip it all right at this point we're just about ready to tape it off the frying pan and once you get out of the Frank and I'll show you exactly how this works I kind of explain what will be here before I do so now with the ribcage split from those ribs the ribs on the left side here will actually completely lift cleanly and freely so we have a whole bunch of the phone let's meet our relief - I'll show you all right when you're at this point you're ready to just go ahead and maneuver like so you'll grab the ribs like this and just pull straight up look at all that wonderful meat underneath now you can eat this it's all boneless a great way to go alright guys well that's about it as far as eating a cone kokanee or a trout hope you enjoyed
