In this video, we are going to see how to make mutton kuzhambu We are going to dry roast and grind coconut to make this curry First, let us see the ingredients needed for dry roasting 1 cup of coconut gratings 4 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp fennel seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp black pepper 10 dried red chillies 2 cloves of garlic 5 shallots let's dry roast these ingredients first put a pan in the stove Add all the ingredients to be dry roasted in the pan dry roast them till the coconut becomes golden brown When coconut starts to change color, add 3 tsp of curry masala powder Add curry leaves powder If you are adding fresh curry leaves, add it at first while you add the coriander seeds Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder Now mix everything well and keep it aside Now for Gravy, I have taken 1 kg mutton Wash it thoroughly and take it in a bowl Cut the mutton into small pieces as shown 1 big onion thinly sliced Ginger garlic paste as needed 1 big tomato chopped into small pieces put a pressure cooker in the stove and add oil Add mustard seeds Once mustard seeds splutter, add onion , curry leaves and 2 green chillies Saute them well Add Ginger garlic paste once the onion is cooked well Saute till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes off Add tomatoes Add salt that is needed for onion and tomatoes Now add the mutton once the onion and tomatoes are cooked Mix well Now add the salt needed for mutton Add 1/2 tbspn red chilli powder Add 1/2 tbspn coriander powder Add 1 tsp curry masala powder We are adding these just for a flavor We have already added all these while making dry roasted masala So we don't have to add a lot of these masalas. Just add a little for the flavor Now take the dry roasted coconut mixture in a mixer jar and grind it to a smooth paste Add the ground mixture to the mutton Add salt needed for the coconut mixture Mix well Add half cup of water Do not add more water as water will be oozing out of the mutton as it gets cooked Let the mixture come to a boil, then put the lid on and wait for 8 whistles After switching off the flame and after the pressure has been released open the pressure cooker Now our tasty mutton gravy is ready This goes well with idly, dosa, chapathi, appam, idiyappam and white rice Try this recipe and let me know your comments If you like this video hit the like button below the video Subscribe to my channel
