hi i'm maddie from loom love and today i am going to be showing you how to make these really cute bird seed hearts that you can hang on your tree in your backyard by the way my sister and i are back we will be filming rain balloon videos craft videos and cooking videos for these bird seed hearts you will need three quarter cups of flour half a cup of water one envelope of unflavored gelatin three tablespoons of corn syrup and four cups of bird seed you will also need a large mixing bowl a heart-shaped cookie cutter nonstick cooking spray a chopstick or a straw for making a hole in the birdseed heart parchment paper a cookie sheet and twine to your mixing bowl add your water and corn syrup and mix it together then add your gelatin and mix it again now gradually add your flour while mixing now you can add your bird seed and mix it really well hey now you can spray the inside of your cookie cutter with nonstick cooking spray place your cookie cutter onto the parchment lined cookie sheet and spoon the mixture into the cookie cutter pressing firmly as you go the more you press down the less shedding of the seeds you will have while the birdseed mixture is still in the cookie cutter poke a hole with your chopstick or straw now carefully release it from the cookie cutter let your birdseed hearts dry overnight now you can cut a 12 inch piece of twine and put it through the hole of your birdseed heart and tie a knot at the top there you have your really adorable birdseed hearts it'll make the birds in your backyard really happy
