hello and welcome to another episode of nutrition tips with Margot I'm your host Margo Jay Rathbun I'm certified as a nutritional therapy practitioner and most of the creator of the nutrition website authentic self on this com I'm here exclusively for nature and health magazine their website is nature and health com au sharing with you guys a delicious breakfast recipe now maybe you've heard about cheese seeds they're incredibly popular right now because people are really discovering their health benefits and how easy it is to incorporate in their diet well today I'm going to show you how to make a chia pudding using coconut milk that makes a perfect breakfast so let's talk about the health benefits of chia seeds chia seeds have been used for thousands of years because not only are they very filling they are loaded with nutrients for example chia seeds are packed with antioxidants to help keep your immune system strong they're a great source of digestive digestive friendly fiber they have zinc they have calcium and they're also full of good fats omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to help manage with inflammation and to promote healthy skin hair and nails so let's talk about how simple it is to make this chia seed pudding so let's talk about how easy it is to make this coconut chia seed pudding you can see I've got a big batch here and this is going to last quite a while so all you're going to need is two thirds cup of your favorite chia seeds you can find chia seeds online at many specialty websites and you can also get it at your local natural health food store in addition to the chia seeds you're going to need two cups of your favorite coconut milk now if you don't like coconut milk you can also use almond milk either unsweetened or sweetened I personally like to use unsweetened and then sweeten it up with a little bit of natural honey so all you're going to do is take your chia seeds mix it with the coconut or the almond milk put it in a bowl and you stir it up and then just set it in your fridge overnight and then the next morning you wake up to this big beautiful bowl of coconut chia seed pudding you can see it's got this beautiful gelatinous text you're beautiful in color it's loaded with nutrients really delicious now to really rub up your pudding you can sprinkle some organic all natural coconut flakes there to get some added good healthy fats for you you can also add your favorite berries I've got some blueberries here you can use raspberries even some pineapple and papayas delicious as well and again this just adds more nutrients some really healthy antioxidants to help keep your immune system strong especially during cold and flu season so get it super simple to make this delicious breakfast even picky eaters are going to love it because it really does taste almost like a dessert it's a delicious breakfast so for more nutrition tips keep checking back on nature and health com au as every week we bring you more episodes of nutrition tips with Margo until next time thank you for watching have a happy and a healthy day
