when it comes to designing naturalistic tropical vivarium a few things look more exotic and intriguing than an array of jungle vine following these steps on this tutorial will help you make your very own terrarium jungle line alright to complete this project you're going to need some s1 silicone that doesn't continue mold inhibitors a bit of burlap to create the vines rubber gloves to keep that silicone off you and whatever soil you want to use to make your eyes I'm using peat moss so the first thing you're going to do is cut long strands of burlap I like to make different lengths because the vines grow in different lines these are going to be intertwined hung up across the enclosure keep in mind what you aim to achieve in the enclosure when measuring out the sizes all right Sammy gets serious and put on hours to love let's get those rubber gloves on now I can't stress enough this is a really messy project you're going to want to use a garbage bags a newspaper plastic bags whatever it takes to keep your status area real clean the process of making the vines is actually pretty simple all you really have to do is take some silicone and mix it into the burlap twist it and push your dirt all around over you're just trying to get back dirt to adhere to the silicone remember to continue to twirl and twist the bril up until it creates that vine texture and that's smooth rope like form if you need to add more silicone go right ahead and then just dab some more dirt and over it so there you go we got one vine and now we're taking a longer strand and doing the same thing pretty straightforward and the nice thing about the burlap is if it leaves little straggler strand those sort of look like offshoots or vines that kind of branched off and it gives it a more natural appeal don't look at it as an imperfection because a lot of vines do grow that way I love that about the burl just make sure you guys got it down pat here's a bit more footage of me making one more vine when you're done making the vines by the way you want to just set them down on a plastic bag or somewhere that they're not going to stick to you too bad and let them dry for a day to then give them a good rinse and they're ready to be placed into the enclosure the last thing you have to do is figure out how you want to attach the vines to different parts of the enclosure terrarium putti a video tutorial I also have on my channel is a great option for the solution and I'll make sure to link the video at the end of this one so there you have it following me steps you can easily enhance the appeal of your enclosure for both the onlooker and the animals in plants living in your vivarium this is because it creates the surface for plants to grow on and for your animals to climb on I hope you enjoyed and learned something from this video and as always don't forget to comment rate and subscribe
