Please explain how to make cold process castile soap (olive oil) in the thermomix (or blender/stick mixer)

oh no today I'm having a quiet day inside the house I'm going to keep unpacking but I've also got an order for over a hundred bars of soap so I thought today I'd show you how to make custom soap now it's really important that you wear eye protection and some gloves I'm still unpacking and I don't know where mine are so I'm gonna do it without but I highly don't recommend doing them that way I have been making the soap for over five years so I'm fairly confident in what I'm doing but in saying that mistakes can happen and this does can burn your skin so it's really important to wear safety gear so first I'm going to make my life solution it's really important that you allow this to cool down it needs to become the same temperature as your oil so I'll let it become a room temperature because I'm not painting my oil I'm making it with olive oil and I'm going to do a cold process so I'll make this and let it sit for a couple of hours until it's cooled down to room temperature and then I can continue on with the final steps so we need 73 grams of caustic soda I'm doing a double batch 46 so it's important to weigh to snap to the ground if you don't wait out to the gram you can become one heavy and that will it won't be nice on your skin or won't be super fat it and it can become quite drying it's good to do this in a well ventilated area too I'll close my bathroom door just so the kids don't get it so I'm doing all times to it so I'll just do my second one you can get caustic soda at Willie's winnings I'm not sure what that equates to whatever states dealers and now I'm going to measure out my water now this is to the ground as well so I need 215 grams or I'm going to double it so it's gonna be 430 let's make a huge mess like that like a bird on a tree I'm just sitting here it is the most dangerous bit making so and that's when you add your wife to your water not your Ward's your life seems around it goes what it's a lie you may die you won't die but you'll get burnt so I'm going to stand away just because I'm not wearing my gloves and then you can mix it up and it's going to see you a little bit it does snow so that's why it's good to be in a well-ventilated area just keep mixing it until it becomes clear otherwise sometimes you can end up with a hard lump or a hard disk at the bottom and that's your lie that hasn't fully dissolved now even though that's cloudy I can see that it's all been dissolve going to place that away we're in the corner just in case my daughter comes in until that cools down and I'm gonna do the same with this one so my lies cooled down now it's time to measure out my olive oil and blend it all together now I need 567 grams I am doubling yes sir because I'm doing a double batch now just because I've given you my recipe doesn't mean that you can just go ahead and make it without double-checking in a lie calculator first so it's always best to double-check your light or oil ratio in a calculator and it just confirms that everything is on par now it's super important to get your oil quantity right as well to the ground so find digital scales are best for this I avoid using my Thermomix scales because I think that they're off if you do something like drag it you can get the UM the calibrations wrong so I use a digital scale and that way it can be 99% sure that my measurements are correct so if you just google search calculator you should find quite a few different ones we can put in your oil and I'll tell you that much live you need and then you can then calculate how super flattered you want it so something like ten percents right it will maybe nice and moisturize when you use it sorry my washing machine is going in the background ok so mission and my olive oil and now I'm going to add my pulldown life solution this is room temperature as is my olive oil so just add that in and I'll take it over to my further mixing start blending now can give you an estimation and how long this will take I've had it take less than a minute in my family makes but I'm also had it take over a 10 minutes in my favorite mix if you don't have a thinner mix you can use an immersion blender or a regular blender and this is what I have that's what I use I find that a double recipe fits in here beautifully I found that my immersion blender took a little bit longer than the Thermomix when I was using an immersion blender and I've never used just a regular blender I prefer to put something on top so it doesn't splatter but because it can heat up you know surprise to cover the top of the Thermomix cause it can explode so I started up slowly gradually increasing the speed and I recommend doing that with AIDS path of the clients that you're going to use and that way you're not going to spurt out when it just varies from zero to ten now I'm gonna set my certain these moles but you can use log moles something like that and then slice it with something like this so that chops it and it chops it to the size bars that you'd like and you can list nothing out you can get an old 1 litre milk carton and this top that cut the top off and pour it in there and you can slice eggs and that's as well so it's just up to you and where you're at if you don't want to go out and buy some of these I know Kmart has something similar as black silicon molds slightly different shape than this but they're perfect once they're harden up which can take a couple of hours to a couple of days you can just pop them out and air dry them they will need to be air dried for a month before you can start using them the longer the better the longer you leave them the harder they'll get open a month month is the absolute minimum that you need them to dry fork to cure for so I'm gonna go take this down and blend it and I'll be back okay so we've come price and that means that I can pick it up you can leave a mark in the top now you can get it think of the mischief you want but I like it this thick because it means I can get an easy pool because I'm pouring it into moles now sorry and I like to put a pattern in my chocolate soap so I can tell it apart so that means I'm going to pour out approximately half of my soup I'm gonna leave that white yeah I'm going to add some chocolate Aveda chuckle so I'm going to add around about 20 grams and mix that in it's dust very light so you need a bit of it to make 20 grams put my lid on and give it a boot blends to my white if you guys have any questions about making syrup feel free to leave the comments and I'll answer it up as best I can and if you have any other ideas of videos that I can make you leave that in the comments as well is thinking of making a goat's milk so it for you guys so just mixing it in this is as much as I mix it in and actually just do that and now I can part so now I'm going to poll now they can take between a couple of Alan's and a couple of days to cheer enough to pull that into moulds this is why I like it a little bit more runny because the means I can get a good pull and I'll go into all the corners so let's give it a tap down and then smooth the tops resist the urge to use your fingers and you should wear gloves but I don't know where mine are because it can cause irritation and give you dermatitis that's the hard way it's still got a very high ph at this stage so just need some to cure and that will allow the pH to come right down you can't do pH tests just get there like a paper a paper kit and you just wet the soil and you can test it that way it should be a neutral pH or self olive oil start is the most gentle soap out there we only use this soap in our family and I use it on my face but I also make a liquid version so I can show you guys how to make a liquid soap make a liquid version to put in a pump oh that's nice and clear made with other foil only so this soap is all cute I'm just now pulling it out of their mold so they can air dry for a month
