all right so to make a squib first thing you're gonna need is your gonna need black powder alright so this is F F F F grain so it's pretty much the finest you can get be super careful with black powder it's extremely dangerous it can highly explosive so careful with it but this is what's gonna make your scripts explode the second thing you're gonna need is our straws McDonald straws where it great you can just walk in there grab a whole bunch that second thing so a third thing masking tape you can use other types of tape a masking tape is the best type to use number five sorry for poison can here is some sort of thing to cut wire with which brings me this thing you're gonna need which is some sort of copper wire the best type of wire is this sort of stereo wire that you use and depending on the thickness of your wire you may need to tie a couple strands together but just test out with different types of wires and you'll get the right like thickness that you need okay so your first step you're gonna want to take one of your straws take it out of packaging so that way we don't need it anymore so you got your straw alright next step is to cut the straw in half you can use scissors I just happen to have these in my hand so now you have two straws about half the straw these are each going to make an individual squib alright so from this step you want to have some sort of little plastic thing paper anything just to catch the black powder if you spill anything and so we're gonna continue we're gonna set that aside and move on to our next step alright so one thing that you are going to need to make is a powder scoop to make this out of just simply taking an additional straw giving it a slight bend in the end and then gluing that down and you want it to be about that far so about like your first from the last join your finger to the end bended about their glue it and that'll give you a good amount of powder if you feel like it's gonna be a little bit too much you can always trim it down just work maybe with different sizes he'll get one that works alright okay so here we're gonna start making the process of actually making the squid so you're gonna take one of your straws alright you want to take a piece of your copper wire that you've got so you take the wire and you push it and thread it through the straw so once it's in the straw you want to take it at about a third maybe a little bit more and bend it over making a solid crease want to make sure that's really tight and so now we're gonna take our black powder open that up being careful to make sure check beforehand though there's no batteries anything that can spark around here take our powder scoop holding it over top of our little catcher thing making sure we have an accurate measurement so we're using the same amount every time you don't want any half scoops you want a full scoop every time you're gonna just pour that into the open largest end of the straw make sure you have everything there maybe give a little tap over this to make sure you don't spill anything now we're going to be careful make sure to cap up our black powder again so we can't spill it and move that over we're done with that for the squib so now taking your squib I just want to bend it right at where the black powder stops you want to push it down really tight tap out make sure there's nothing left so now you've got full it folded twice so you have three parts of the straw and your wires sticking out of each end you want to keep holding that really tight with your hands we this is when you take your masking tape and you're gonna take a really small piece you don't want much because you want the masking tape to keep the straw tightly together so about maybe an inch or so put that on the straw and really tightly the tighter it is the better wrap that around holding your squib together and you don't want much masking tape because you want this to be pretty much as we can so it explodes really easily and that squib is now done okay so now you want to come to an outdoor well-ventilated location and so now we're gonna detonate the squib you need three things you need two separate wires you're gonna want to get alligator clips for both ends of the wires it makes everything a lot easier so one two preferably two different colors it just makes everything a lot easier and the third thing that you're gonna need for detonation is a battery of some sort you want at least a 12 volt battery and car batteries work amazingly well they will set your screw off every single time instantly but they're expensive large bulky and they could be quite dangerous they could spark a lot they have lots of votes and a very high amperage so one thing that works really well is actually the battery for a drill they're often twelve votes make sure it's a 12-volt battery and you just hook up your wires to the two ends there and it'll set off your squib okay so when it comes to setting hooking your squib up to the wires first of all you want to attach the wires to the squib before you hook anything up to the battery so you have no chance in it exploding on you while it's in your hands so you're gonna take your squib you're gonna take one end and you want to connect it as close to the powder source as you can so almost inside of the straws you can see there have my alligator clip is cook click is connected very close to the wire and same on the other side it doesn't matter which end you connect this to these two as long as they're connected to two separate ends and hooked on just like that okay so now we're gonna do the first connection process they're going to choose which wire at this point is going to stay connected to the battery and which is why you're going to be touching to the bag to set up your squib so I'm gonna connect my green wire here and then when I'm ready to set off my squib all I have to do is take this black wire and just touch it to the other end doesn't matter which end of connected as long as they are both had two separate ends and now another really important point to make is with your squib you need to be sure that though two wires are not touching each other like your red wire so your green wire and your black wire cannot be touching it's really important that they're not touching otherwise the squib will not set up properly all right so when everything's ready and it's time to set off your squib you just take this black wire and touch it to the battery okay and so when it's ready you're ready to set off the squib it may take a couple tries to get it right with the wire he just to be touched all right so now I'm gonna show you how to make the fake blood that you're gonna use with your squid you are using them for blood heads so the first step that you're gonna want to take is you're gonna want to get some water in a little dish you probably want any warm water so things dissolve best in it and there's a loss tutorials out on YouTube on how to make they want but some of them are good and some of them you just really don't get a very good colored blood and it just doesn't look very good so this is my way of making it you may have your own ways you could buy blood but this is a cheap way good so you don't want to take some corn syrup you don't want very much corn syrup because you want your blood to be pretty runny for this but just about that much maybe so you're gonna take that stir that in the warm water this comes the middle making a bit better alright the next thing this is not an S nothing to say something you guys you have to have but if you take some piping gel it will make your blood a bit thicker as well and it will make it a lot easier to take off much easier is my water cover any something you paint as I previously made one in here but now it's a little bit thicker so now comes the next step which is actually coloring your blood so you're gonna want to take some red I'm using pretty much icing color it's a gel food coloring and this works really well for this pretty inexpensive so you can use a fair amount of it and not feel bad so you won't take a nice big glop of it okay so now what we have is this it's I mean of okay red but it really doesn't look that convincing so another fish step is you can take some squirt blood this will just help it out a little bit this stuff is more expensive though you can also replace this instead of the food coloring but food coloring is much cheaper but this will it helps a lot actually it makes it a much better gives it a nicer color for your blood so now this is when the magic happens you wanna take some cocoa I don't have very much in here but I do use a lot of it but this is really what gets your blood that nice dark thick color nice thick consistency nice dark blood red you can see from the side it's pretty good okay so the next step of making the actual blood packet that the squib goes in is condoms yep pretty much like I'm sure there's other things you can use but really these work best if you don't feel comfortable going and buying condoms there are other ways around it you can go to youth clinics I'm sure if you're at school your counselors will be able to give them out but pretty much con it doesn't matter if they lubricated and all right so I'm gonna take that open alright so from that I'm just gonna open it up completely and then you're simply going to take your blood and it's gonna get poured into condom I'm gonna see if I can do this by myself I recommend though that you have someone help you with this but I'm doing a pretty okay job here give it a good amount I say that I spill something but that's okay so that's gonna give you a lot of blood here really big burst and so next step here is it's taste pretty good okay so you're just gonna twist it up at the top so you get a good little pretty tight pocket with a bit of give to it and then from the hair you're just gonna tie up and once you've got that time that is your finish blood packet all right so this is how you're going to set up the squib to be attached onto your actors body okay see you you want some sort of metal plate okay it really doesn't make a huge difference how much it is but you want a pretty good solid matter of metal plate so then you want to wrap it in some sort of tape electrical tape works fine but you can use masking tape or something just something to make your tape your plate non conductive the next step is you're gonna take your squib there and then you're gonna take your wires so with your wires they're gonna connect it to your slip green wires hooked on black wires so once your wires are connected to your squib you're going to take your masking tape and you're going to tape them to this metal plate and this is just really these first pieces of paper just to get it on there all right after you've done this your next step is to check over your whole plate and sure that there is no exposed metal showing of any sort from your wires because if there is what's going to end up happening is that metal is gonna get really hot like it's supposed to and then it's going to end up melting your blood packet rather than exploding your squib so that's not what you want so then we're gonna put the blood packet on top of here take some tape and now you have a finished blood pack and then what you're gonna do is just tape it onto your actors chest wherever or whatever it's gonna go and then you connect the wires together and boom it goes off I recommend wearing some sort of shirt underneath your shirt that's going to be Abbas house blowing on and then you just want to snip a small little hole in this shirt where this is going to be exploding from I may post a small quick tutorial how to set up the squib on an actor but let's blow this sucker up all right so now that we've got our finished blood pack on our squib we are ready for setup and ready for to explode it we're going to connect our one wire it's going to stay connected and all you got to do now is just touch the wire all right so that's pretty much what you end up with strap a two-year after make sure they have your consent before doing this don't just tell them it's gonna everything it's gonna smell pretty bad most likely because there is sulfur black powder but thanks for watching please subscribe and
