Please explain how to make artichoke dip

Hey everyone! It's Sam here from Sugar Spun Run and today I'll be showing you how to make an easy artichoke dip. I wouldn't be surprised if you have had spinach artichoke dip before, for some reason, well not for some reason, it is very delicious. So I understand why it's popular now, but recently it has overshadowed one of its worthy counterparts, just regular artichoke dip. Today I am sharing a very simple recipe for hot artichoke dip. I think you are going to love it, so lets get started. The first thing you'll need to do is preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, you are going to need an 8 oz brick of softened cream cheese, and we are going to add this to a large bowl. We will also add 2/3 cup of sour cream. 1/3 cup of mayo. And while you could really add all of your ingredients into the bowl at this point, I found that if I stir the cream cheese together with the sour cream and mayo, and make that smooth before I proceed, it makes the mixing process a little easier, so I am going to do that now. So the mixture should be smooth now, mine still has a few lumps because the cream cheese wasn't completely softened, but that's fine, it's going to melt out in the dip. So what I am going to do is set that aside and prep my artichokes. So for this recipe, you need two 14oz cans of quartered artichokes. Now you want these to be in water, you do not want marinated artichokes. What I have done, is I have gone and rinsed these and I'm going to pour them out on my cutting board. and once I pour them out of that can into the strainer, I rinse them pretty well. So they are a little wet. So I am just going to gently pat these dry. And then I will use a large knife to chop these into smaller pieces. Basically, I like each piece of artichoke to be cut into about thirds or fourths. These are looking pretty good, so I am just going to pat them dry one more time. and I will pour this into our bowl with our cream cheese mixture. We'll also add 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese. A half cup of shredded parmesan. A 4 oz can of fire roasted diced chilis, and you will want to drain them before you add them. We are also going to press one large clove of garlic. I also like to add some freshly cracked ground pepper. and a little bit of finely ground sea salt Just for taste. Now you are going to work all of these ingredients together until they are really well combined. Now you just need to bake it. I am going to be baking mine in a 9 inch round pan, a pie plate would work great for this. We are just going to want to spread the dip evenly into the pan. I did lightly butter the sides and the bottom of the pan. You will want to do the same thing. For a final touch, we are going to top our dip off with an additional 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. Now you will bake your artichoke dip in your 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for about 20-25 minutes. When it's finished, the cheese on top should melted and the dip should be hot and bubbly. You will want to give your artichoke dip a couple of minutes to cool down, that way you don't burn your tongue. But once it has had a few minutes to sit, you are ready to dig in. And that is how easy it is to make hot, bubbly artichoke dip at home. I really hope you guys enjoyed today's video, and thank you so much for watching. I'll see you next time.
