hey I'm a chemical engineer and this is my homemade nerf gun this nerf gun is extremely easy to build and is just as powerful if not way more powerful than any nerf gun you could buy from the store so now I'll give you a quick rundown on how I built it so now the most important part of this shotgun is the pump I'm using the ball pump that I got from the store a few years ago as working extremely well it's actually the same pump I use for the nerf boat links for that somewhere so once I have my ball pump I then took a piece of one-inch PVC pipe and I cut it down to three inches longer than my ball pump is fully extended once I had it down to the proper length I then made three additional cuts on it so first I shaved off the top of the back half this is where the pump is going to sit and I shaved it off so that the pump will be on there a little bit more stable than it would if it was round and then second I made two additional cuts on the front half of the pipe as you can see the cuts are right on top of each other and this is actually for the pumps handle you'll insert the handle through the top and then I'll secure with the screw through the bottom and although it is not as wide as you can see the hole for the ball pumps handle is perfectly lined up with the cuts for the ball pump itself and now since all the cuts are done I just took my ball pump and zip tied it into place and once that's done it should look something like this but of course after making so many cuts into the PVC pipe I compromised its strength so what I did is I got two one-inch couplings and I bolted them down to the front and back of the main body to hold it all in place it is actually working quite well I also attached a big piece to the back coupling just act as a handle now there's only one thing left to do and that is to run a tube from the back end of the pump up to the barrel that will hold the Nerf dart the barrel may or may not be an old crayola marker so since this is a single shot is not specifically designed for rapid fire situations but because of how far it can shoot it is an ideal sniper rifle now with that being said I do have dreams to put on a six cylinder barrel to the front of it sometime in the future but it's going to take a little bit of time to see how all that's going to work out but for the time being it works great and I am exceedingly happy with how or not so now it's time to show you it in action say you find out me you guys are now at the end of my nerf gun it's loaded and pointed at my head take that neighbor and there you have it my homemade nerf gun but hey thanks so much for you guys watching I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did please feel free to hit the thumbs up and subscribe to lower bail and I'll see you next Friday thank you for watching and please feel free to subscribe
