hello there folks welcome to the kitchen today we're going to teach you how to make a very simple meal I think Wendy probably has a video of this on her youtube channel go up on the rock since I'm batching it tonight until Wendy gets home I'm gonna make me up a quick dinner here and it's kind of appropriate this is a Hawaiian dinner we're heading to Maui we're going to be leaving shortly and this is something we actually cook at the condo in Maui so all you need for this simple dinner are well two making it for two you're going to need a couple of eggs this is a farm-fresh egg you're gonna have to make yourself some rice I've made enough rice for a couple of local moko's here and that's what we're making a local local gravy make yourself some gravy and you can buy the package gravy got cheated today I bought some international gravy with green peppercorns in it and this stuff here has no trans fat no artificial colors or flavors so anyway I cheated I didn't make my own I just took it out of the package 2/3 cup of milk 2/3 cup of water and you eat it up and then you once it comes to boil you simmer it mister and it's actually really good gravy for local local the rice is already cooked so 1 cup of rice 2 2 cups of water easy anybody can do that I make my own hamburger patties so I bought some extra lean ground beef and put an aide with it when you have it in the bowl so it sticks together so I threw one farm fresh egg in there I've got barbecue tonight I'm cooking it on the cast-iron pan so I put a garlic clove in there I cut up a little bit of steak spice right here that works really good The Keg Steakhouse spicy and I put up next up a little bit of an onion in there too so I mixed that up together crazy little patties and now what I'm going to do you know he's in this cast-iron pan they're gonna throw this egg in here and we're gonna cook it that's going to be a sunny-side-up egg for the local moco get yourself a nice deep dish because local locals are messy so this will be done really quick I'm gonna get ready I'm gonna put some rice in the bowl you grab a spoon here I'll show you how this works so folks turn off that element there get some rice down to the bottom of the bowl there this has a little bit of wild rice in it so we've got the rice in the bowl remember I'm not a cook this is how simple this is anybody can make it okay I'm thinking a hamburger patty has probably done I better just cut into it here and make sure it's not red inside you don't want to eat the red number up a tease it's got to be cooked well done okay I think that's probably just about done it is really a yummy meal folks you know whenever I'm on a Wahoo I go to the rainbow diner and Kapahulu and I order a local mocha because it is very filling and inexpensive to buy I just I just love these things they're too rich too you probably don't to eat them all the time lots of protein then probably a little bit too much fat you might like it there you get all the time so anyway that's why I buy the extra lean ground beef okay so now we take the hamburger patio and we put that on top of the rice just like that then we take our egg just like that and you put down on top of the patty just like that it goes off of there now turn these off turn that element off and you take that gravy so you got the rice you got that homemade hamburger patty and you got that sunny-side up egg with a little bit of a runny yolk and then you take that gravy just like that and you just drizzle that all over top of that Oh does that taste good that is a loco moco folks and that's way they do it in Hawaii can I try this gravy before with the peppercorns in it is possible so there it is I know it's a mucky meal that's what you gotta put in the bowl but man once you try this you'll want to make it again thanks for watching and Aloha try that folks you'll like it loco moco Hawaiian style
