hi I'm Shayla the happy hippie homemaker and this is my darling daughter Emmy Lou she's 11 weeks old today and we are going to show you how in a baby wrap this wrap that I have on is a stretchy wrap and I need it's just it's really similar to the sleepy wrap and I have her in the newborn huddle and so what I do when she needs to nurse is I take down this front flap and I take her out of the wrap and for little babies that don't need a lot of support all you have to do is find that front flap again wrap it up around their legs and their shoulders then you pull the fabric across your chest and snap your top or pull out the top however you like to do and you can get your baby latched on then stretch the fabric across and you want to make sure that you keep an eye on the baby's nose their airway to make sure that they're getting lots of fresh air and another thing you can do for larger babies is you can for a little more support put them inside one of the panels let the head come out again wrapping that bottom panel up around the legs and the shoulders and then you'll want to adjust your baby so that her face is close to your nipple and then you just have to get her latched on notice I can just stick my hand in here really discreetly so no one sees anything when I'm done I just keep her head cradled in the crook of my armed and I'm not totally hands-free I have one hand totally free but if I'm in the grocery store I can still push a shopping cart like this and pretty much get everything done that I need to do and so that's how we survive the new-born days when they have to nurse 24/7
