hi my name is Pat brewer and I'm gonna show you today how to sell with the needle and thread and I'm going to take this off so you can watch my hands not my face all right first of all we need to get a color thread that you need for your project and you need to get the right color of I mean your the right needle that's got a good enough big enough eye that you can see through it I need you need to cut your thread about 20 inches long unless you want it longer but this is just a demonstration so probably a bit longer if you're gonna do a bigger project you want it probably longer than 20 inches but this is 20 inches that I folded in half and we're going to you know dampen the end of the thread here so that I can put it through the eye of the needle here so we put both cut ends through the eye of a needle and you can see you have a loop at the other end so we're not gonna have a knot and we have a double thread to make us stronger when we do our stitching we're gonna have two threads so it doesn't make it stronger and also we're not going to have a knot I'm going to show you just a basic stitch how to sew with the needle and thread so we're gonna bring our thread sorry bring our thread through the fabric and then we're gonna go just a little bit make a little stitch and we're gonna come through this loop and we're gonna pull it put it tight not not not not so it's puckering or anything then we're gonna go back down pull it through and when you get creative and you can just do this and do several little stitches here at one time make it go faster but but you're just going up and down up and down back and forth up and back and forth but what I mean by back and forth back and forth through the needle and thread through the fabric okay now I'm pulling this I'm not letting this tail here get down get caught now we are going to tie off like we're finished our project I'll show you what to do make a tiny little tiny little stitch here then we're going to put your needle through the loop tie it like so we're gonna do another one so we're actually doing a double little knot here at the end then we're gonna pull this off and I'm going to separate the thread and I'm going to I like to do this just to make sure that give it another a couple of little tiny little knots I'm just gonna tie a regular little knot right here at the end I'm gonna take our scissors cut off right there at the end little bitty knot at the end but we have nothing at the beginning it's nice and flat and very clean cut check out my website at pa brewer by clicking the link below to see how I make money you can stay at home and sew all day and thanks for watching how to sew with a needle and thread
