brought to you by 1auto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet hi i'm mike from honey auto i hope this how-to video helps you out and next time you need parts for your vehicle think of 1auto.com thanks in this video we're going to show you how to replace a mirror on this 2003 cavalier pretty much the same as any 97 to 05 cavalier and this vehicle does have the manual mirrors so this procedure is only for manual mirrors tools you'll need are a phillips screwdriver a 10 millimeter wrench as well as a 10 millimeter socket with a ratchet and extension okay phillips screwdriver there's just a screw right here remove it okay and then this kind of lifts up and comes off there's some insulation back in here pull that out okay and then you have three ten millimeter nuts that hold this on okay i'm just to use a 10 millimeter wrench a little difficult to get this one get it first use a 10 millimeter wrench get it in there and just loosen up that nut just takes a little bit of time and then when you get it loose just carefully pull it out of there you don't want to drop it down further into the door okay then these two are easy to get up with a 10 millimeter socket with an extension and ratchet okay pull and push on the mirror the base is usually stuck to the door so okay your mirror comes right off as you can see my original mirror is in good shape i am going to remount it uh mirrors from one auto there they come they're just like the original they're going to bolt right into place just need to put it in got to get into place and make sure the studs are through i'm just going to take my nut put it into the socket and put it on do the same thing for this one down here okay and then lastly this one here carefully kind of using two fingers get it into place and get it started push it on the mirror and get it as tight as i can with my finger maybe tighten up these two here that i need to get to nice and firm but not over tight press in here again tighten up some with the finger and then use the wrench okay once that's tightened up get our insulation right back in take our trim back on the screw through kind of peek through the back and see the screw to go into the hole and tighten that up and we're all set we hope this helps you out brought to you by www.oneauto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet please feel free to call us toll free 888-844-3393
