the most vulnerable part of your tarp shelter is probably this corner grommet if you just tie a rope directly through it to something and the wind comes up it may rip it out I'm going to show you a quick technique that uses a carabiner and some paracord to fix that we're going to start over here and thread the rope you're just Farr grommet bring it around like this and go over to the other grommet on this far side I'm just going to tie this off simple overhand knot will do quite well the next technique is to come over here then we're just going to tie this off awesome we use another couple of half hitches we need to cut the rope once both grommets are tied down we're going to make two equal loops like you see here now take the loops like this bring them together put the carabiner in tie your tent peg rope to that and you're good to go so that's all there is to this particular technique what you've done is create a flexible corner that's going to anchor very securely I would highly recommend you consider this technique with next time you set up a tarp shelter this is Leon patent burg with survival common sense comm thank you for watching this morning it's a beautiful day go out and enjoy it
