hey youtube what's up i'm here with my 1979 chevy c10 scottsdale the quick redneck restoration tip um i've noticed in some of these older trucks that the door panels and some of the other vinyl just get really old and disgusting kind of faded oxidized and you get this kind of a coating on there that you can actually scratch off and it just looks terrible i found a way to kind of restore that on the cheap and basically what you do is you uh scratch off that entire outer oxidized layer and then sand it all down with a really fine grit wet dry sandpaper and uh throw a little bit of vinyl restore on it and you end up getting something that looks kind of like this it's all smooth and it's actually the original color just a quick tip for anybody that's trying to make something look a little bit better on the cheap without having to spend all the money on getting brand new door panels for their truck hope this helps somebody out there and until next time
