so here I'm going to show you how to change a monoblock mixer tap and this is the tap that we're removing and the valves of Boston - and Fire Brigade pick up the water pressure yesterday in this scheme and and that bashed our mixer top as it the pressure shut up so I'm going to show you how to fix that and put it in a state where hopefully that's not gonna happen again this - he is going to be an invaluable tool - if you don't have them because it gives you the reach to get n to be able to get into these difficult ears what you'll show you to be able to remove the tap so up under here very difficult for my camera to pick up these lights as our screw that it's going to have to come down the fill layer I'll show you properly when we get it but that's why the stills going to be important to make this job easier so this here is the bull nuttin question or a long Threadless and drainage screw with ball attachment that I removed from here using that tool and then we there softly it says that encapsulates the entire thread but screw it and then not then goes into it which is why it's such a useful tool for getting pushed up and into awkward areas where your body and arm just don't want to twist to so I'll show you there the new one going in so this is the new model block tap that we're putting in place it's got two screw head fitments there and the other screw head fitment for the bolt into these segments I'm going to be attaching flakes and causes reason I'm doing that as the plumber am who we spoke to about getting nests sorted and told is that have grid flexi hoses and place the other tap probably wouldn't have bossed because with a sudden increase in the pressure because we had the fixed pipes that's what allowed that to block flexi ones in place even with a certain increase in pleasure that probably wouldn't have happened so we're gonna be putting Flake seahorses and to the system which just screw in here like that as you can see and it's just hand tight don't need your retainers just hand tight because a washer will do that it's the little rubber washer it's on the end no pops a decimal screw fix or if you're looking to get one and I'll put the link down below so you can get the exact same one again but the reason I went for these handles has ever been told that those handles are a lot stronger and a lot more heavy-duty during the sort of plunger nature of them compared to the court or torn handles here which don't take the pressure increase just as easily but just the way the valve system works then save them so again if you're looking to change your top because of the same things happened that made but useful piece of advice I can pass on and help us so first stages as we see I've got both my flexi horses possession den and tighten by hand and I've then got the threaded screw here positioned to entertain behind the next thing it goes in is this which is the anti rotation washer which will just go over the top of these and up enter there right so the anti rotation of washers and place and no I fit the assembly through the hole why to say that plug it in next parts which effect are these and the Oertel are going to go on is from underneath this will fit over the threaded screw then this and then this will lock it in and again I use this to with the appropriate diameter end to tighten up and then that'll be not part of the top locked in place so tap this in place being screwed n rubber washer underneath to hold it in place and then under that your horseshoe shape ones rubber one first then the metal before getting held in place for the bull which is up buried under there which again will simply the comes to that but no easy noise up Leah you can just sort see it in the camera but not greatly there's my flexi horses dropping down I know the flexi horses you need to be attached now to here but as you can see there's a gap and that's because the flexi horses need to be attached to a piece of copper leaving some flakes and the horses as well so to these we no need to attach or copper lens so know that the taps installed the flake seahorses are installed I need to install that copper length between the flake seahorse and existing pipe work and to cut my copper wings down I'm going to use cheap car and this all you do is tighten it around your copper pipe and then twist around the copper fake to the lengths that we're looking for so I'm gonna go ahead and do that with one bolt install and show you what it looks like on so as you can see that's just goes on and then I'll tighten up a bit folder and then rotate it round my pape like so continually and that's going to cut through and then tighten SF entertain it a bit more it's only chopped my lens off which will be variable depending on your sink and we'll see to that spot you can see it's already cutting through just keep teeth and yeah cutting we left need beat okay already nice thing about these well on the hike blade actually have a lovely even cut for joining the Pape smooth and lovely and smooth on the cut side as well and nice and even so onto my pipe I need to put a think of remember rate these are called olives and I worked in few many years ago and I can't remember but I'm sure they have called olives and we need to slide that one along with the nuts not fast or if it's another safety knot first and then all of and all of axes of compression between the paid for us so that will tighten everything down as I screw it almost break up a washer so I put that in place and I'll do the same to the flake seahorse and that be that side plumbed up so as we can see at the top here the first flake seahorse is attached that's just been attacks with adjustable spar and I attached this pipe down here again not so not an olive or slide onto the pipe so what nut all of place them in place and then they'll be slide that down and tighten up hunt eight first and then tighten with the wrench and then I'll repeat the process for all our pipe so that's it but some monoblock tap plumbed sorry the footage isn't going to be I dealing is clear as I'd like it but when you're working in darkness holding the camcorder on shining fit things with other hand it's not the easiest he must appreciate man but I'm not a plumber and I'm just trying to help you see if you have your shackles and but you can see the Flexi hallways coming down to the two bits of copper piping which I attach to the taps it's a 15 old copper pipe and on main and usually VA depending on your setup bubbly 50 mils the most common and that's it that's really old a nice to it the most difficult part of this it's physically getting your body and near to access things but that till I showed you at the start for the morning lock taps and valuable and get yourself one whether it's the exact same tape or not your own choice but get yourself one I'll do that job it's an invaluable tool for a fitting and wanna walk tap and these tight to fit areas and those taps you could affect your sails as well so that's that and thanks for watching good luck if you use this video just quickly want to show you one tap cold water one tap hot water so up and running I'll see it for the thumb time hope the video helped take care now should you not want to install flexi halsy the tarp that we bought and again I'll put a link down below those come with copper connectors so you can use the solid papen but I was advised that using the flexi hallways completely eliminates the chance of what happened to our top Hartmann again because it absorbs the pressure if the water pressure changes dramatically stop the vowels being blowing out and so between the heavy object app and the flexi horizontal emanates out of ever becoming an issue again hence why we've got the flexi chosen from the advice I was given and so hopefully it's helped and good luck if you're again about to do this to your own system
