that's never gonna work in a song well what's going on YouTube addictive junkies welcome back to the show a whole bunch of you a bunch of you have asked me about that bonus tuning video if you solve the ones being Sol that some of you in the comments and some mostly in Facebook messages wanted me to do a video and show you exactly how I do that or how it's done I don't love some of you couldn't understand you know how to do it or maybe didn't have the right tools to do it or what but anyways that's what this video is going to be about go into detail about how to tune each string to a certain scent okay now if you remember from the old the other video the first string Tunes $0.03 under second string six cents under third string four cents under fourth string eight cents under fifth string ten cents under and six string twelve cents under under 4:40 so let me get moving I'll bring you over here closer get you set up so you can see the phone really well and we'll get into detail on that and I'll show you what I'm talking about so we're hold on okay this app is called Pro guitar tuner it's for Android that's what I'm running it on right now I don't know it might be for other platforms too but I know it works on Android and you can see your center line zero here hit your each string now because the laws of physics doesn't allow guitars to intonate perfectly all the way on every string and every note every fret you know logically speaking if you tune exactly to that 440 where that is right now then you're probably going to be out when you go up the neck playing chord so this tuning this bonus tuning is designed to correct that compensate for that as much as possible so here you can see minus 10 that's 10 cents 20 cents 30 cents 40 cents and then your plus cents on the do your plus side okay what we want to do is send this first string down to 3 cents flat okay and you always want to tune below the notes you want to stop on and tune up to it you want to play the note about the volume that you are going to be playing the guitar because when you strike that string it's going to go sharp immediately and as it stops vibrating you know it's going to come down in pitch to where you want it if you get the harder you hit it the more effect that will have there's three cents under and I'm have to look at this from the side view and a really awkward position so you guys can see it well we want to tune this one 6/10 under the zero someone to blow that come up to it I'm looking at it from the side I think that's it between the third string for cents under the zero it's way short there for seeds I can say you guys have me an advantage here you're looking straight into the tutor I'm really in a funky bond in looking at it sideways so it may not be exactly where I would normally do it I might miss it a little bit so I would say this one needs to be eight cents I think that's here fifth string needs to be 10 cents flat and you want to turn your string where it holds that cent number the longest okay like I say when you first pluck it you can see the string sharp and you can see it go flat and it's ringing on the flat side so I need to bring that up this will be more so it rings out on that 10 mostly that's it closes I can get it setting this way and twelve cents on the base three and there you have it now let's check it again three cents flat on first I think that's it six seats flat four cents flat eight seats flat ten cents I'm gonna leave it there twelve scenes now check this out the guitar is perfectly tuned in assassinating as close as it's ever going to with this tune there's you a quick video to kind of explain that bonus tuning thing and how it works I hadn't touched CSS steel pretty much right on the money it's uh it works almost guitars almost everyone up use that tuning on I hope that helps the ones of you two had a little trouble understanding that maybe shed a little bit more light on for you if not but in the comments below asked you know that's why we're here that's what the channels for also ask away there's no such thing it's a dumb question so ask away I'll do my best to answer and uh thank all you guys and gals and the new subscribers holy cow man you guys are coming in like a lion huh I appreciate that thank you tell everyone you know to come here and the sign on man and I'll see you in the next one you
