hey John Colt here Amish survival secrets and just another real quick message here and video about a real easy project I just completed and again you may notice that I'm into a lot of quick and dirty type projects that you can do for next to nothing and here's one this is my new compost heap I've lived out here in the country for over 10 years now and we've had gardens and everything and my wife has a lot of flowers etc and you know I'd always said we need to have a compost heap we need to have a compost heap so I'm trying to get more serious about some of the things that we're doing from a sustainability standpoint in learning about the ways that you can grow your food and live off of your own waste and things like that so I said okay I'm gonna put one together I all I did here was put three pallets together so that's all that is I happen to have two of them from that had been sent to me with some shipments so I had those and then this morning after church I just took my little pickup truck to church and I drove by a couple factories sure enough I saw some pallets laying out grabbed actually two of them one of them's right there it's kind of a different size in it but it looked like kind of a nice smaller sturdy one so I grabbed that don't know what I'll do with that glad I grabbed one more these three are all the same size it's pretty cool real easy all I did was put them on their side and right here I just attached them just found two pieces of scrap lumber that I had knocked some nails in the top voila I have a compost bin I've thrown a couple leaves in there it's probably not the best time of the year to start a compost heap they also say that you can have you know newspaper clippings I'm gonna start keep being coffee grounds and other things and and just throwing it in there over the winter and get serious about it next spring hopefully maybe some of it will be compost that we can throw in our garden next year but we'll see but real easy simple project I got zero cost in in about twenty minutes and I got a compost bin thanks again this John cohort for Amish survival secrets and more to come you
