hey everybody it's nasa here from necessary extensions down at 684 king street west in kitchener okay so today's video again i know i've already made a video today but anyway today's second video is for a wonderfully beautiful lady that came in her name is amanda into the store and she was wondering how the hell do you get glue off of your tracks and i did tell amanda that i would make a video specifically for her and um on on how you can remove uh hair glue from from your tracks if adhesive is your method of application okay so i have from uh one of my uh clients as well you know who you are um pieces of hair with glue on them now i've done i've already removed one track but this is what the hair looks like at the moment now do we see all of that glue this was because this is blonde hair we used um of course the the clear glue and this is you know a couple couple applications worth of build up you can barely see the thread it's so much build up so on it it's really sticky it's moist it's it's sticky and you can tell it's got a pretty pretty thick layer on there of glue now how do we remove this because we we want to continue using the glue it was a great method for her and we want to carry on doing that um now there's loads of different ways that you're going to find that you can do this using removers like acetone acetone based or actual wig removers well adhesive removers you can use nail polish remover pure 100 acetone um to dissolve it but what we find is when we try to do that there's still a bunch of residue on there and we can never really get it completely gone um now because i'm such a hair enthusiast and i troll the internet all the time looking for new ways that i can update my methods or incorporate other people's methods with my methods to make a super method or things like that and i came across a video on youtube like you're gonna have to forgive me i forget the name of the the lady who did it um if i can find her name i i will post it and say thank you very much however she seemed like she was a university student and her video was really really poor quality so i really had to kind of guesstimate what she was doing at times but either way i thought her method was fabulous and i'm gonna demonstrate that to you today so what you're gonna need uh is you're gonna need your gunky hair okay your hair it needs to be dry okay your hair cannot be wet for this so if you've washed it um and you've taken it out and you wash it let it set overnight it needs to be as dry as it possibly can be the glue is still going to be tacky but that's okay the hair needs to be dry so you need your hair you will need your straightener okay or a flat iron a curling iron or whatnot i think it would be a little bit hard but you definitely need a flat iron you're also going to need a little cotton bud and some remover so either using the remover i'm using the salon pro 30 second lace wig bond remover because it removes pretty much all bonds um and a cotton little cotton ball um but again you can use acetone or what not whatever you have lying around and you're also going to need an old thin shirt yes i've removed a little bit already so i'm using a very old wife beater or vest white vest here because the material is really thin and that's what you want thin material um okay so what you're going to do is you're going to take your your hair and you're going to place it on sorry on the uh the shirt you can have a glue face up or face down it doesn't matter because what you're gonna do is you're gonna fold it over okay so now i've got my weft it's all along the top here like so now you're gonna take your your hair straightener and mine i can't find an outlet that is free near my desk where the camera is so i've already pre-done one and i'll show you what it looks like but anywho so you're gonna take your your weft your straightener um and you are going to on each section clamp it through okay and you're going to hold it here for a couple of minutes all right the longer you hold it the better but don't go don't let go nuts don't like keep it on there for 20 minutes you want to burn out your strainer right um for at least two minutes so if you just hold it put a little pressure on it what you're doing is you're re-melting the glue okay as and the longer you hold it gives it more time for the the heat to actually penetrate way down into the glue and into the hair fibers so you're holding it and you're squeezing it okay and you're going to go all along until you've kind of gotten your hole now what you're going to see and i'll show you because i did it on another part is the glue is going to start to come through the top now this is because this is clear glue it's hard but you see that little line there yep that's the glue that was removed from the other weft and i'll show you what the the outcome is as well so you're going to hold it and so if you see the line and it's either yellow or black and you can see that the glue is really starting to adhere to it that's great because when i open it up basically because this is a nice thin fiber the glue is just basically being picked up by all these fibers in the heat and it's merging with it now once you've done that you're going to then peel gently peel your hair away okay you're just going to peel it away now i've not done this one just bearing in mind but you're going to peel it away what you're going to be left with is something that looks like this now at this point if you still see a little bit of residue of the glue on there you're going to want to take your cotton bud and your acetone and just wipe it off really cleanly but what's great is we can now see all of the the thread that actually sewed the weft together and pretty much all that glue is gone now now um you can try this method and that's basically it and wait for the remover you can wash the remover off again or you can just wait for it to dry and apply away go right back and you can pop it back in so take care of your wefts ladies you can try this method i think it actually works fabulously if you're trying to get hair off of synthetic hair so this is human hair if you're going to go for this method on synthetic hair do make sure that the synthetic hair is either a high standing heat or a high fiber um that can support high heat if it's not then what you're going to do is you're just going to burn your hair even though you have the cloth on it it's still going to burn it through so it's not really recommended for regular synthetic hair unless it's high fiber and even then though you don't want to keep it on for like two minutes because you may just end up burning the hair off which isn't good so um wonderful um amanda i hope that video helped if you if you or anybody has any other questions please give me a shout i'm always here to help but thank you so much for watching for watching for watching and um yeah take care bye you
