hi guys today I'm going to show you how to make these gothic sleeves nice fall or winter accessory um I made these pre easy and I made them in red so that it's easier to see and then I mixed up in black the lighting is gonna be pretty bad in this video so i yeah i'm just using red all the way through and this is actually made from the sleeves of an old long-sleeve t-shirt that my boyfriend get to me so just reusing old stuff pretty cool so this is the final result and if you want to know how I did this then stick around for the tutorial ok so I'm putting my arm in backwards or you know through the end of the sweater and basically just cutting the sleeve off where my hand ends right there don't cut your fingers just measure and then fold your fingers fingers in why you cut up next we're gonna create the folds in which we're gonna put the lace so I want my love to be tight right now it's really loose as you can see so what I need to do is create folds one on each side to tighten it and I'm actually gonna do this before I do like the thumb and the end piece right down here cuz it's gonna determine like where that's gonna end up it's sort excellent you'll understand one easier ok so I'm making the folds first of all though I want my phone to be thicker in the middle and then thin out towards the slides because I've got more fact I'm figure up here and down here than I am in the middle since t-shirt fabric is stretchy you can make it super tight and you still be able to get it on without problems any like working with t-shirt fabric so the first fold looks like that and then I'm just gonna thin out down here and up here and then I'm gonna keep trying it on and like custom make it until it fits properly and tightly and then we're going to show the folds alright so all my needles for the folds are in and right now it looks like this so you can see it's a lot tighter than it was at first it looks kind of weird with the folds but it's gonna look a lot better once the lacing is on here so what I'm gonna do now is so these folds and I'm gonna do that by sadly I have to move the pins now but so what I need to do is to remove the pin and put it through like this instead what we're gonna sew is the way I pin right now and then because it's gonna be like little flap and then we're gonna flip it inwards and then put like these little buckle holy things that I used for I think you see when I made my bustier maybe yeah for the lacing in the back I used those so that's the same kind of principle so we need to move all the needles put them like this and then sew along that line okay you can actually put the knee just like this right from the beginning the reason I didn't is just to show you guys what its gonna look like so this will be the end result but this is how we're pinning nice seriously hope but this is showing I'm sorry I don't know how to explain it better that measurement from the needle to the top here need to be big enough for these holy things to fit through otherwise you're screwed screwed dude so this is what the needles are supposed to be like before you start sewing so I'm gonna sew where needles are so starting like somewhere around here not going all the way up here and then stopping like before we get to the end because these are gonna be hemmed and stuff my sleeves now look like this weird so the bolts are gonna be like this once we get the lace on so now I need to do something with this and right here you can make like a hole for a thumb and stuff but I'm just gonna turn this into kind of a big sleep so I need to do is simply just close this edge right here and you know cut it evenly so I'm going to flip my sleeve inside out like this and then fold the edges down into the shape that I want obviously you can ship them anymore um and then I'm just going to sew along the sections you just cut off any excess fabric so your sleeves should be looking something like this right now and the folds are just I just folded them over the way they're gonna end up so right now it's time to put in the little hooks for which we're gonna pull the lace through all right all the way so I'm going to start hammering some Elise hooks in here basically what you do is I use one of these little guys and you put this end right here whoops into this and you put the other end which is kind of the lid and here and since this is t-shirt fabric it's really easy to make holes if you use something thicker it's gonna be more difficult so t-shirt fabric is really awesome for this stuff so what you do basically is just pinch the fabric with this thing and then use a hammer bang bang to shut the two pieces together and then you'll have oh so this is the outside of the hole just make sure that this ends up on the side that's going to be folded over so we get the nice side upwards and when your holes are done you just pull some ribbon through and you're ready you well that was all for this time thank you for watching
