hi this is Elizabeth and in this episode I'm going to show you how to make a beaded bookmark that's perfect for any occasion but this time I'm utilizing this for Valentine's Day so what you're going to need is three eye pins glorious looking beads including a heart if it's a valentine's day and two jump rings you'll also need pliers and a cutting tool lastly you would need what's called a shepherd's hook you can find all these items at your local craft store you want to start by first beating your eye pins for my design I am going to start first with my crystal beads but remember you could do this in any direction or any design that you choose so I'm starting with the crystal bead from there I carry it all the way down to the base of the eye pin and add my larger silver bead and then I add the crystal bead again on the top you want to complete this step for all of your eye pins when you have completed the beading of all of your eye pins we are going to move on to prepping the Shepherd's hook so you want to start by adding your jump ring to the top of the Shepherd's hook you're going to open your jump ring with a twist and open motion and then add it through that small hole right there at the top of the Shepherd's hook then you will close it the same way with a twist and close motion now the next step is to prep your beaded eye pins to connect to the Shepherd's hook you want to create a hook so you're going to bend your wire back to a 90 degree angle and then you're going to carry that same wire over the top of your needlenose pliers and you should see as you see here it's forming a hook shape now I am NOT going to be completing a wire wrap here so I'll be snipping off the excess once you've snipped off the excess complete this process for your other two eye pins now you're going to add it to the jump ring that's connected to the Shepherd's hook and in a rolling motion carry a hook towards the crystal to seal and close it of course you're going to repeat this process for each one of your beaded sections connecting it to the last one so now I'm going to add the heart portion add it and then once you've done it completely you can add your initial feature bead at the bottom start by opening up a jump ring with the twist and turn motion as we did prior connect the initial bead and close the jump ring with the same process of a twist and close motion that initial bead is personalized it for the person that you love that's it you're finished I hope I've inspired you to try this beading project it's really beautiful and personal and can work for any occasion thanks for watching you
