Please explain how to knit: decrease - ssk aka slip slip knit

see here we have a plain piece of Stitch fabric with some decreases running up the right-hand side now these decreases I've used here other SSK decreases or slip slip knit decreases and the slip slip knit decrease produces a left slanting decrease the mid kid together decrease produces a right slanting decrease there are some other decreases that produce the center decrease and this one slants to the left there are a couple of ways of working a low slanting decrease but this one is slip slip knit that I'll show you so in this particular case I've left two stitches at the edge so we're up to the point where we need to do our decrease first we slip one stitch knit one so that means we insert the right hand needle into the stitch as if we were going to knit it but we don't put it we slip it off the needle then we take the next stitch on the left-hand needle and do the same thing now here comes a little bit of tricky part we take the tip of the left-hand needle and insert it into both of those two together the two slip stitches so we take one and then take the second one and now we have the right-hand needle inserted through the back of the stitches and then we can knit them just like a normal knit stitch and that produces our left flan ting decrease so first on the needle we had two stitches and now we have one and after that we can just continue on living as per usual and that produces our left slanting decrease there are other ways of producing a left Lanting decrease but the most common one these days is the slip slip knit or also known as SSK and I left slanting degree
