in this video i'm going to show you how to make the traditional origami lily all you need is one square sheet of paper and start by folding the square sheet of paper in half like this the design should be facing the outside then we're going to unfold and repeat on the other side and then fold the paper in half diagonally like this unfold and repeat on the other side and unfold then we're going to fold the sheet of paper in half again lengthwise we're going to take the top right corner and fold it to the left side along this diagonal crease like this then push the bottom flap up and flatten like this now you should have a square on the left side and a triangle on the right we're to take this triangle on the right and push inward like this and then flatten with our other hand with this side facing us or facing down we're going to take one of the flaps so this right one here and fold it over to the left side to reinforce the crease then we're going to bring it to the center like that and then we're going to put one of our fingers into the slot over here and then flatten with our other hand and once you've done that you should have something that looks like this then we're just going to go ahead and repeat the same process with the remaining three flaps so then we're going to take the side where it is half design and partially white and then we're going to take the flap on the right like this and fold it diagonally along the center crease just like this and repeat the same thing on the left side and go around and repeat the same thing with the remaining flaps so again we do it with the side where there's half the design and some white and not this part for example where it's all the design and once we've done that we're going to unfold the folds we just made and then we're going to take our finger and push this part upwards a little bit so just push it up like this so that we have opening in the bottom and then we're going to push inwards from the left and the right side like this and notice how a triangle is forming at the top and from the side it should look like this and once we have this triangle shape at the top and everything is aligned we're going to flatten it so that it looks like this then we're going to repeat the same thing on the remaining flaps so i'm going to show you again how that was done so unfold let's take a finger up from the bottom and push it up a little bit like this and then push inwards from the left and right sides and bring the two ends together so that it forms a triangle on top once you've done that flatten so just go ahead and repeat the same thing with the remaining two flaps once you've done that we want to bring this triangle and fold it down like this then go around and repeat the same thing with the remaining flaps so fold the triangle down and last one then we're going to take the side where there is no triangle so not this side but this side where there's just the design and we're going to rotate the flower like this so that the spikes are facing upwards and this side is facing down then we're going to take the right flap and fold it diagonally along the vertical crease like this and repeat the same thing on the left side then go around and repeat the same thing with the remaining flaps after that we're just going to fold this down and go around and do the same thing with the remaining flaps and once you've done that you should see the lily is complete and now the next thing you can do is you can take a pencil or just use your fingers to curl the ends and after you've done that you're done so thank you so much for watching this tutorial please like comment and subscribe and also check out my other free tutorials at the end of this video as well happy folding you
