Please explain how to remove a wheel lock lug nut without the lock nut key

hey youtubers it's bill here again I am going to show you a pretty easy method on how to remove lock nuts without the key now I know some of you either lost your key or misplaced it or just sometimes they just get worn out and they just slip and they don't grip and usually that happens you go to a mechanic or somebody and they over tighten your your lug nuts and then you try to take it off and then everything strips so just to let you guys know also this is not intended for the thieves out there too wanting to go out and rip off tires and rims but my method would definitely be a noisy method so I don't think it would be too wise to use this technique now tool is required for this what I like to use is we're gonna need some hammers some ball pens glasses definitely safety glasses guys okay don't be tough you got to have your safety glasses because we're going to be hammering a little bit and there's gonna be pieces flying out safety first guys come on some vise grips we might need and some knockout punches a little bit bigger of a bar but and also some chisels okay now very importantly these are these are metal chisels okay they're for steel they're not wood chisels do not use wood chisels use steel chisels unless you don't have any steel chisels I don't recommend it but if you do want to use a wood chisel be prepared to throw it away because it's definitely going to be damaged and also and I need a little propane torch so let's begin and let this get this going and we're gonna just place this camera down here give you guys hopefully you can see that so what we're gonna do good idea is to heat up the locknut okay try to not get in on the thread try to get on to just the nut itself along the side and get on this side here so you can see a little better you can do it from the bottom heat will rise so the reason why want to heat it up a little bit is because the metal will expand so it will help get a little bit more loose and we'll definitely make this job a lot easier it's about 10 below outside so these nut these nuts are are quite cold it's not good to have cold nuts I'm sure you guys will agree with me so I leave that there like that and I am on the outside of the nut okay I'll kind of come in here a little bit you guys can see a little better all right so I'm trying to stay on the the outside of the nut I don't want to heat the thread okay we don't want to do this too much okay we don't want to do this too much it's just just a little bit to heat it up and it will it will expand a little bit okay so maybe a couple minutes worth okay I think that's enough now I did do all the other three so this method definitely works so I'm gonna get our safety glasses on and we're gonna get my bigger chisel here so what I'd like to do you know bring this camera a little closer in for you guys over here okay sorry guys let's just move this so okay and we're going to get in here and you know what else is a good idea get some gloves guys get some clothes because this stuff is going to it might chip off it might know I might fly it around you might miss put your hand but what I want to do is I'm gonna hit it a little bit at the same time where I'm trying to loosen it because it will loosen as we're not gonna add it okay so we're gonna come up a little bit like this okay so you can see all right you know it's hard to see here but I'm gonna show you again I know my gloves are in the way here okay so so far I'm putting a little notch in there okay I'll zoom in in a second let me just get get on this a little bit okay okay see so far some pieces that are flying off okay so what I've done so far is you can see with my steel chisel put a little notch in there now the metal is soft it's definitely some type of recycled steel it's not your d2 or heat treated nuts that's for sure so I'm gonna need to whip this back a little bit here okay I'm gonna put this down and I don't know if that's big enough but I'm gonna try to knock out a little bit more okay get the bar throw the bar in there eight pieces are coming off already okay no also you don't want to hit the thread too much try to stay off the thread because you don't want to damage the thread either so okay use the bigger cameras guys sorry because I need to swing around this thing maybe we'll come on this side let's see how that works okay that's any better for you but okay we're going here okay it's better to use a bar it's pretty flat and hasn't been mushroomed okay might have to do is get it get your chisel back in there again of course this one a lot smoother doing the other three in the video a little bit a little bit harder it's taking a little longer okay huh oh that is good what just happened so I'm gonna show you guys there's a nice flat Ridge right there okay so what I'm gonna do now is I'm going to you want to put that bar right there like that right right up against that Ridge and I got a nice flat surface there and we're we're gonna hammer this out okay so let's put this back and I'm gonna get this going bar again I'm gonna place it right on that Ridge try to come inside it sideways as you can hit that guy Hey look at that so we cracked it and cracked it off still a good thing guys is still coming out starting to go I tell you the other ones they weren't this bad believe me the other ones they sure do probably knock them off in about five minutes let's get this guy in here come off the other angle here a little bit okay up how they come guys okay so you're gonna come this way that way all right that's it so I don't want to hit the camera look at that okay guys so that's uh I'm gonna show you now so yes I hope you're not expecting to keep these and their comes off you see see we just keep turning it and even this one wasn't too bad but the other ones like I said they must have taken me maybe three minutes and I might get a little bit tight in there and that's why you'll need the the my scripts boy yeah okay hang on sec guys I'm gonna put this down here for a second you had these vise grips on here seems like it's loose but it gets stuck right there gonna have to keep topping at it obviously gets a little stuck somewhere where it's mushroomed or something see it's just right at the end hey make sure don't hit this can okay I do have to apologize that this one that's taken longer see I'll tell you the other one say it took me three minutes and I said you know what some somebody's gonna need to know how to do this good way to easy way to get it off but as you can see sometimes you get the stubborn one right but this is actually good for you guys to see that you know what it does get stubborn for yet not everything is always as easy and as simple as you see on YouTube all right so we're almost there guys tell ya a pain in the butt that's up there we go we passed that mushroom yes we did there you go there you go guys see definitely not gonna use this one again but I hope this helped guys definitely works remember steel chisel it will knock these off the material the metal on this they're not strong they're weak you'll be able to get a nice mushroom or a nice flat in there and you just knock it out hope this helped guys and be good out there thanks for watching take it easy
