hello again you're watching the house box and so now I'm going to show you how to install Kovac so the main fundamentals of this is getting your measurements curly you might as correctly that's probably the key part of this operation to make sure that when you cut the might as in the clothing you could them in the right place they line up so what you need to do is you need to create your miters so basically if you've got a room and you've got a 90-degree corner like such you need to create 45 of each end which is half 45 degrees in each end of the coding to create a miter and I'll show you how to do here we have Olympic holding just an off Kyle got formidable edge and what I've got here is I've got combing - combing box it's called now it's basically like a miter box but it's specially designed so that when you put the coving into it when you cut the COBE you kind of exact the right angle so for instance if you used to put this coating to a normal coat normal chopping block as it as it were if you put it flat and cut your angle you're never going to or shit-ass I like that that 45 degree it's not going to be right and the razor is not very right it's not taking into account the angler which is matched to the wall like that just made to the wall like that because it that that should be lower the wall naturally level the scene so because of that if you cut it the 45 degree like it would not be right your honor so what you need to do this this block you watch that as I put this it it's holding where it should be in the room when it's finished so what I'm doing is I'm just going to cut a section off the end of it fast so once in this blocks fairly straightforward to cut just cut a section at the end of it so what one is we want these two callers to me obviously we've cut that bang-on level we own them corners to meet at 45 degrees as usually you've really got a gap in there so we're going to put these buyers on that so go put our code into our block and we want a left-hand corner so we're going to cut from this side and then obviously when we could either side we're going to want a right-hand corner to meet up with it the left hand when I got a right hand obviously depend on which corner room is the UK sometimes it is useful if you've got a long piece a bit unwieldy to get someone to hold the end of it so it doesn't snap off when you do it because it can be quite long they can pull nicking break since obviously it's just plastic coating paper that's how one corner so as you can see we've cut that name look that was that was in there and I'd cut that 45 degrees like that can you see how that would not have been correct the angle the shampoo on line that's the one piece and then you put the back here so this is the side of one especially important when cones make sure that when you cut you cut the right end and you remember which end you need you to accidentally grab their own car so as you can see now it has to put off of these up we've got a perfect corner 45 degrees or 90 degree corner each cuts 45 degrees can any coving fit into that mold this is you get more ornate y'all cut coding well this particular block as you can see look at the EM profile of it it's designed for a 4 inch 100 millimeters and a 5 inch so there's this step here step shoulder so this is actually 5 inch going so if you look put that inside they rest on the top it's a 5 inch if you use 4 inch gets it in this lower section if you use more I make open then potentially you have to pull Cox let yourself build into a special jig to cut it don't think you can get them you might have to get them you could do the crosscut box or it just takes a bit set it up in a bit kicking around to get it down 1 what we have here is some multi-purpose coving a decent this is really good you can you buy in the top from any you know hardware store I'm not going to give any brands for you buy any hardware store the good thing with it is it comes already make channel mix anything comes like a paste and you even get the the applicator the spatulas with it so literally see the consistency of that it's almost like a creamy sort of a clotted cream consistency quite thick but gloopy but what you tend to do is you get the applicator with it and then you literally just spread it on the edge you know either on the face will spread it on the edge of this work you out on the piece are this long so what you do is you want a butter or eat that side and that side once you've got it once you've got it fully bird up and only on the angled edges not in this flat part correct if you can imagine fairly straightforward so if you imagine that goes up like that this section here never really touches or comes in contact with the wall these are always with you but it but what it does do it gives a roof the dc2 squidge and squash inter which is why you need that recess in the back so but about a joke but Vantage of and then offer up and what I'll tend to do is top tip only little thing wet the wall so where this is going to apply gal except a damp cloth or a sponge and it's wet them all because there's moisture in this but the wall is so dry seriously there's nothing just suck all the moisture out not excite the air what you have to DC so why makes you wet the wall then it gives you a bit of time then to play with it and adjust into position you want to get into so get it out get it in position and then what you want to do is you want to get some small pins probably 30 mil long thermal pins 1 mil 30 more long slack and you put some pins and this along this and what this these pins do is they're not going to partly stay in there clearly what they do is they retain it whilst it's drying some people apply coping there at these pins but you don't to come back to it and LOI say it's slightly slid I think you know it can slide so what I definitely well put some pins in this hold it and leave that what's it's finish you leave that for probably day so the pins will tack it to the ceiling pick the pins stop it from sliding because this is a grab adhesive so we'll grab but when the pins are put in it just definitely stops it from sliding because it potentially could slide ok so that's the idea all the pins so the pins going to the wall and to see in this video into the wall yeah so you leave them pride you don't put them all by and you leave the pins prior by about 30 mil something like that and then lights a add a layer 24 hours layer just go up with some pliers pull them out makes you don't leave and press on this it's very very soft cotton paws pull them out so don't knock the mid really well to never get the magnet and that just keeps it in position and then once you've got all the coding done that's when you can go over it with the multiple adhesive and all these gaps like for instance that I'll obviously be up to there like that as you can see that gap there doesn't you know it's fairly neat and it's fairly tidy but obviously you're going to want it more accurate than that it can I want it smooth want to finish nice and that so what you can do is you can get literally get your finger and get somebody's thing just blend it down that crack there and that just takes any slight undulation any slight crack out of the joint and cleans that join them so it looks like a seamless finish I will do is I'll show you what that looks like once it's finished and painted so as you can see here this is what I've made earlier is it want to say if you look up here you've got clothing section this is more of an orca section something like this I'd make sure you cut your pieces in your hand have them low down before you've nothing up because quite a fiddly section to do we've got a couple of sort of internal and external joints muscle-building external joints you need to make sure when you're cutting your external join that you actually allow the extra material I want to mean by that is when you make this cut if you made a normal internal cut you lose material but if you make an external cut you need to arrive for the additional material to go past this fulcrum point as it were and go past which is why I've allowed there so I can show you that that part there let's go easy on the two left hand cuts as net correct you got left on the left hand and this has got a right-hander Roy yeah and you're saying well you've got that you these more correct so what you got do is you ought to make sure when you cut your right hand first they leave enough material so don't cut it that if you cut it off they're 90 degrees it's you know level you won't have the extra material there in front of it to Wi-Fi yeah see it's currently longer than it needs to be but make sure that the dimension from there to there when you cut it is that dimension and that's basically how you make sure that when it shoots over you've got the right amount of X extreme to so that's basically what you look for and then like I said after you've finished it you can run along three joints and then paint and that's how you install coating key watching subscribe give me a like any questions or any ideas hit me up on Twitter
