Please explain how to "plop" your hair

welcome back to my channel today I'm going to be sharing my curly hair routine this technique is called plopping or plunking I discovered it recently and I have been absolutely loving the results if you want to see how I got this look keep watching this technique is pretty easy you start with your hair fresh out of the shower and you can see here this is my natural hair texture when I take it out of the towel my curls are pretty loose and kind of frizzy so that I put in my product I start with my Tresemme platinum strength heat protectant spray I'm not going to be using any heat with this technique but I do like this spray because it adds a little more slip to my hair then I add my Tresemme keratin smooth serum and my Garnier Fructis sleek and shine leave-in conditioner I mix about a quarter size of both of those products in my hands and then I smooth that from my ears down now you might have to use less product if you have shorter hair or more product if you have longer hair then I comb through my hair to evenly distribute for this next step you want to start with a large cotton t-shirt on a flat surface in front of you then you are going to take your hair and shake it out and flip it in front of you now you're going to lower your head down very slowly onto the t-shirt so that your curls coil up without getting frizzy or tangled now without moving your head you want to grab the bottom edge of the t-shirt and wrap it around towards the base of your neck now holding that you want to grab the top of the t-shirt and pull the neckline down to the base of your neck pulling the sleeves toward the side of your head now you want to tie the sleeves in the front creating a turban out of the t-shirt it could take a few tries for you to get this right now you can tuck the tails in to make sure they don't get in the way and then tuck in any extra fabric so that also stays put when you're finished you'll have a neat little t-shirt turban that's going to protect your curls as you sleep on them overnight it might feel a little wobbly especially if you have long hair but I promise it will stay put in the morning you can take it out and you'll find that your curls are dry bouncy and frizz free sometimes I have to reshape some of them in the front with a curling iron but otherwise I think they look great hey everyone thank you so much for watching this video be sure to click here to subscribe visit primal beauty queen comm and watch my last video to see my winter nighttime routine
