The tall Tulip Garden Feeder is a
lantern style chalet feeder from Perky-Pet®. This decorative lantern feeder
featuring a tall tulip design will be a beautiful addition to your landscape.
Birds will be attracted to the u-shaped perches which allow them to access the
seed from any angle. Before using for the first time, you'll
want to remove the product hang tag. Remember to wash your feeder before its
first use. Use warm soapy water and a bottle brush to reach tight places.
Always rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent seed from becoming
wet. You are now ready to fill your feeder
with up to six pounds of seed. On top of the feeder lid, you'll see a
decorative finial with a plastic push button. This is the patented Sherlock cap
system that helps to secure the lid and keep pesky squirrels out of the feeder.
With one hand, fully extend the cable upward. Make sure the cable is straight
and free of kinks. Using your other hand and holding the finial with thumb and
forefinger, use your thumb to depress the plastic button. Lift the lid upward until
you reach the loop. Gently drape the loop and lid over the side of the feeder.
Fill your feeder with the seed of your choice. When filled to the desired level, pick up
the lid by the loop and fully extend, again, making sure to smooth out any
kinks. Using thumb and forefinger, to press the release button and slide the
lid downward on the cable onto the top of the feeder. Once you have aligned the
lid and seated it properly, release the button. You can now hang your feeder in the yard.
