you can see now that i'm getting towards the end where the ends are gonna just go in so it'll start beginning to look a little bit untidy but you can cut those off and tidy it up once you've finished all the plait i'll show that at the end and just keep detangling it because it will end up in a real mess at the bottom if you don't you'll just end up with one big knot and just keep plaiting there we go so now i've platted as much as i'm going to do and i've got to quite a few knots now uh so what i'm going to do is i'm just going to tie in a knot and cut the rest off and to finish the rope other people use other methods but i'm not prepared to do that when children might end up watching the video so just tighten a knot and then just cut oops cut the ends off um i would cut the knots out so i'm going to cut that one out and that one that one and that one so there we are now i did set beginning when we were at the top here anything that's untidy around here you can just go around and cut those off because they're platted in strong enough to hold i did um measure this rope that i was planting against a lead rope that i had so i know that it's definitely the same length as a lead rope so there we have it um you've got a nice secure fastener at the top i do wish that knot wasn't there but it is and there's a little bit there as well so i'll just chop that off there we are you do have some nos there um but with use it'll get a lot softer um and the only other thing to remember is in future when you're cutting your baler band off your bails to try and always cut them near the knots and then you're getting a nice long piece of string with no knots on that you can work with more easily so that's it quite an easy um way to make a lead rope and cheaper than going to the shops and buying them uh thank you for watching the video and hope to see you next time bye
