Please explain how to cook roasted endive - episode 31

hi I'm ed today we're gonna make one of the easiest vegetables you're ever gonna see done it's roasted endive we just split them and roast them very easy so endive yeah I mean you see them usually with the cell or salad ingredients and you think salad or a little appetizer maybe put some cream cheese or a dip on there but we're gonna roast these so all we got to do is cut the tips off the back end and root in just so they're you know not brown and then we're gonna slice them in half and put them on our little roasting tray I just use a cookie pan basically like a shrimp sheet pan just lay them out here like that and we're just gonna do the usual salt pepper extra virgin olive oil what else you need to make a delicious vegetable so little kosher salt pepper I like a lot of pepper isn't now so put a little squirt on each one and then some extra virgin olive oil enough to get them all kind of coated and then I just flip them around by hand every side and because we put it on the top side the oil went into the crack so to speak obviously I peeled off any like kind of yellows or wilted leaves on the outside first do that and I preheated oven to 425 takes a while to roast these we're gonna put them in for about at least 45 minutes I'm gonna check them after 45 it takes between 45 and an hour at 425 so into the oven we go okay so we checked our endives every few minutes I think this is about half an hour at 425 so they're done enough for me so we're just gonna that's it we're just gonna plate them up with whatever we want to serve them with tonight root actually having kind of a seared tuna steak so I'll show you a picture of that in a minute so you can see it but until then here we go I listed endive salt pepper extra virgin olive oil 425 oven half an hour plus or minus you get a watch of delicious thank you
