Please explain how to remove the hayward super pump impeller

hey everyone its Joe tamargo from wet head pump repair and today is another pool pump repair tip what we're going to show you is how to remove the impeller on your hayward super pump let's say you're your repel is clogged you want to remove it or is burnt out or you want to change the mechanical seal behind the impeller we're going to show you how what you're going to need is a 7/16 wrench or a 10 millimeter wrench and your put in the back side of the motor switch remote around we've already removed the motor switch in the capacitor you're going to get your wrench right here if you see that there's a part of the shaft that has a flat spot so you're just going to turn the shaft that little to get your flat spot just like that now once you have your flat spot okay you're going to keep your wrench right there I'll brace against the side here you're going to turn your pump to the side keeping your wrench there and then you're going to grab the impeller and give it great nope hold make sure you hold your wrench tighten ready we have to do this really takes an impeller sights you can go it's getting a little tight there's like this and eventually yeah you'll feel it break loose just like that another bit more and then you'll be able to loosen it right like that and become free and then what we do is be able to spin your account just like this right off now you'll see you can pour the seal is on your impaler right there the second part or the seal is in the seal right there pull off just like that so now you'll be able to change your mechanical seal so that's how you replace and remove the mechanical seal and your heiwa tube pump check out our other videos on how to install the new seal on the haters your pump take it easy please
