Please explain how to use an electric shaver - quick tutorial

hi there it's tyler from electricshaverguide.com and here we're going to do a quick tutorial on how to use an electric shaver most of this information is going to be pretty straightforward but if you're new to electric shavers then you might find some of it quite useful for a demonstration our foil shaver is going to be the bronze series 7 790 cc and our rotary shaver is going to be the phillips norocco sensor touch 3d 1250x so to start i'm going to use the foil shaver on the right side of my face and then i'll switch it up and use a rotary shaver on the left side of my face for for the foil shaver you want to keep about a 90 degree angle you don't want to shave against the grain and with the grain and for certain areas you're going to want to pull your skin down to get even closer this is optional it's something you have to try and see if it works out for you whether you need it or not also depending on what razor you use will depend on how hard you need to press in the bronze series 7 is an excellent razor and it's super easy to use and you hardly have to press in at all some shapers which maybe are a little less powerful than this one may require you to press in a little harder so let's get to it and we'll do the fall shaver first okay switching it up now to the rotary shaver and the same rules really apply you want to keep about a 90 degree angle you can pull your skin tight you can shave up and down side to side with the rotary shaver you can also shave in a circular motion so you're really going to have to find out what works best for you people shave up and down side to side or you can do a circular motion so it's really going to depend on your personal preference the other way to use an electric shaver would be to use it wet so some of the models will allow you to use them in the shower or use them over the sink with some shaving cream so to set it up you just want to do what you'd normally do with a disposable blade so wash your face with some nice warm water rub in some shaving cream or shaving gel and then depending on whether you're going to use a rotary shaver or a foil shaver just use some of those techniques that we spoke about earlier and the other thing is just periodically you're going to want to rinse the shaving head under some running water so i've rubbed in some shaving cream here and i'm just going to have the sink going and rinse off as i go the other thing worth mentioning is cleaning your shaver so after every shave you should clean your shaver whether you use the systems if they have one or you do a manual clean so most shavers you can rinse under running water whether it's a foil shaver or a rotary shaver and most foil shavers you can actually remove the cap and you can brush that out and if you rinse it under running water you can just let it dry and some rotary shavers like the sensor touch 3d you can actually open the blades up and you can rinse that under running water and let that dry as well some shavers do come with a cleaning station that is a bit of an extra cost and it's not totally necessary to use after every shave but it is pretty convenient to use so we'll just run the sensor touch 3d shaver through its cleaning cycle right now just to recap here on using an electric shaver you're going to want to keep it at about 90 degrees for a foil shaving shape up and down against the grain and with the grain for a rotary shaver same thing about 90 degrees you can shave up and down side to side or in a circular motion sometimes you're going to want to pull your skin down to get an even closer shave and just with a bit of practice you'll get a good feel for how hard you need to press in always clean your shaver after every use and you can do that with a manual clean or running it through the system cleaning your shaver more often will kind of prolong the life of the shaver and i find that using an electric shaver every day or every other day if you have thick facial hair is the best way to go if i leave my facial hair in for about a week i'm using an electric shaver can get the job done but it requires me to go over certain areas more often and it is a bit harder on the electric shaver so if you do have thick facial hair the best way to go is probably going to be to shave a bit more often if you're new to electric shavers and you get a bit of irritation the very first time don't give up on it some of these products do require you to use them for maybe two or three weeks for your skin to get used to them so that's that's normal for some people whatever shaver you do use i do hope that you get good results and like always you can visit electricshaverguide.com for more shaver reviews
