what we're doing today is making a strawberry cake it's going to take quite a bit of work but we're going to do it today nice and gluten free all right since this has to be gluten free i found this flower it's recommended by one of my gluten-free friends it's pamela's it's gluten-free wheat free and dairy-free um we're gonna need a cup of this a teaspoon of vanilla a cup of sugar a quarter teaspoon of salt and six eggs we're gonna mix the eggs the sugar vanilla and salt together first and we're gonna fold the flour in give me a second while i get all this together what i'm doing is just cracking eggs putting them in the bowl four five six raising six so it's very fluffy put our quarter teaspoon of salt a cup of sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla all right let me get this mixed up okay now i'm going to add a little bit of the flour about half a cup i want to do is just mix it a little bit we don't want to get rid of the fluff so okay now the rest of it my oven is preheating to 350. i'm just gonna put this in a small cake pan here's our cake batter let's hope it comes out good i haven't made this yet i'm using the gluten-free flour so we'll see all right here is our sponge cake i cooked it for about i say 25 minutes and it's perfect i'm gonna let this cool off and i'm gonna make the strawberry that goes on top of it okay what i have going on here is a third cup sugar a quarter cup water i'm gonna boil it and right here i have two packets of gelatin i'm gonna add it to a third cup of cold water let it sit for a few minutes okay and the sugar mixture that i'm making i have to get to 240 degrees these are two egg whites i'm just going to mix them up real good until they're nice and fluffy then i'm going to add the sugar mixture to it sugar mixture boiling rapidly here's our beautiful egg whites all nice and fluffy um we're going to add the sugar mixture then we're gonna add the gelatin that we made here's the gelatin okay what i'm doing now is cutting the tops of strawberries i'm gonna make puree mix it with our sugar mix and then we're gonna add some heavy whipping cream to it i need about two cups of these strawberries this is a lot of strawberries hopefully we don't have to open the other package we bought and that's pretty pre-write all of this this cake's gonna be delicious this is my valentine's cake all right give me a second i'm gonna blend this all up and see if it comes up to two cups which probably won't oh yeah look at that exactly two cups of the strawberries now i'm gonna put it in with the egg white sugar and water and blend that all up give me a second okay so we added strawberries in here and we're gonna add two teaspoons of vanilla so there's one and two i'm gonna mix this all together and then we're gonna whip up some whipping cream give me a few minutes okay what i have here is just one and a half cups of heavy whipping cream i'm just gonna whip it till it's really fluffy and then i'm gonna add it to the strawberry mix okay here's both our mixtures strawberries with the sugar and the water that we boiled in the gelatin and the heavy whipped cream what i'm gonna do is just whip these together so it looks so tasty it's so fluffy all right give me one second here let me get my cake all ready to pour it okay so what i did was i just cut up some more strawberries and lined the pan with it and i'm gonna pour the rest of this in here do let's see if we can get a little bit more out of this pin let's see here oh yeah delicious valentine's day cake and there we have it so we're gonna put it in the fridge for a few hours and take it out and i'll show you when it's done finished product that looks so good let's get this sponge cake right on the bottom a bunch strawberries cut in half around it oh yeah as always thank you for watching my videos uh now i think we're gonna go ahead and try to indulge in this cake give us a like and subscribe and i'll be back with more thank you
