hi i'm june with take a hike arizona and when tracy and i are not in the desert hiking on these hot summer afternoons we're in the kitchen drinking and one of our favorite drinks to make is a combination of prickly pear juice and lemonade and our prickly pear juice comes right out of the sonoran desert and off of our prickly pear plant and if you do not have prickly pear juice at home then you can go to our youtube website and put in take a hike arizona and you can see three easy steps on how to make prickly pear juice so if you're going to make lemonade for the kids you're going to use one part prickly pear juice to two parts lemonade and you can use any kind of lemonade and if you're like tracy and i and you want a little more of a kick to it you can add some citron absolute vodka or any kind of vodka but citron gives it a nice flavor and i use one ounce per serving so that had two ounces you're going to fill your tumbler with ice you're going to shake and then it's all ready out comes your beautiful prickly pear and lemonade martini and you can garnish it with a lemon twist or a slice of lemon i hope you enjoyed your summer as much as we did ours cheers
