Please explain how to crochet a scrubby - part one

hi my name is leslie and in this tutorial i'm going to show you how to make these scrubbies they're made out of a nylon tool that's cut into three inch strips i use a size g hook and they're just fun to make lots of different colors they are wonderful for cleaning cast iron like this camp dutch oven they fit real easily into the corners clean all the sides they're durable they last pretty long time you can fold them over if you really want to get some traction on it i just enjoy really enjoy making them so i'm going to show you how okay i want to show you a scrubby that has clearly been used a lot we just came from a dutch oven cookout a couple days ago and cleaned out two really dirty pots and this one is starting to get a little bit worn out it's got a little it's it's just not as abrasive as a new one is um you can i don't know if you can see it or not but it's just it's just smoother so pretty soon this one's going to have to be thrown away when they get dirty you just put them in the top rack of the of the dishwasher and that sanitizes them obviously doesn't get them perfectly clean but at least it kind of gets all the grit and the and the bacteria out of it cleans it up really nicely so when they start to get soft when they they lose their abrasiveness then it's time to throw it away [Applause] i do to explain what is the difference between the tool the net and the mesh right this one is a tool tool to make strawberries where scrub is a for bait i mean for they do take a bath with that for your skin right it's really a small very small it's really it's soft and if you can see the holes are really really small this one over here is the net it's not as soft as the other one and you can see the difference in the holes and bigger this is what almost everybody use for strawberries for dishes four dishes this one is the thickest one that we have the holes are medium between the tool and the net this is the the mesh it's mesh strawberry mesh you can use this one probably for your pots and pans when something is really sticky on but they use it also like a petticoat net and that one's harder to work with because it's thicker it's thicker yeah it's not as as soft as the two first ones yeah it's hard it's harder to work with that one okay something else thank you so much appreciate your help you want to give me a wave okay i'm going to show you how to cut tulle into a three inch strips so that we can use that to make our scrubbies now first of all you'll notice that this edge is very uneven and this edge this folded edge is much much more even so what i'm going to do is i'm going to try to straighten up this end first so that we can get the most strips out of this and this is about uh three yards of tulle so i don't know if you can see how uneven it is here i'm just going to cut all of this off with my rotary cutter push down real hard and that's just trash and now i'm just going to march down the edge three inches at a time i love this rotary cutter and this mat it just makes things so much easier and faster [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] do you
