Please explain how to install a shower trench drain

all right in this case I want to guide you through you know feature that I'm installing this in this case is called a trench drain what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead with a normal installation of a of a drain you know the shower pane hookup for for a normal shower drain but in this case this is featuring a nice strange nice horizontal drain we have different sizes in this case this one is feature in all Rob runs and what I'm going to do is single room just got you through some steps you can actually find some of these things online you can order them sometimes they're fairly expensive but I just you know want to leave you with with some information about them right now what I'm going to do um you know once we know the space that we're going to work with is I'm going to cut the shower pan in this case the shower liner is a PVC shower liner we bought a roll because we have a couple of showers that we going to do but I'm going to cut about 10 inches you know over and both sides so meaning if I have for 48 inches I will cut a 68 inches to go up the walls with it so I'm going to start by cutting the shower pan nothing nothing big about it just make sure they get them perforate the shower panels you cut it in this case is we're going to start by removing the existing or the old drain we're going to Center the drain water is supposed to go and you know that way we can we can start organizing the the new trench drain whatever it goes the the first part which is the drain installation goes like a normal drain the difference will be you know that they that the enclosure will be or then the reservoir will be said with the concrete well um you have seen a lot of videos of the ones that I'd you know when I push our liners I just going to put a link for you to to take a look at it you wanna make sure that it everything is sealed that if you have to you want to put a pre slope definitely do it on some cases some some contractors don't like that stuff to you go with what they ask you for I mean you give it a suggestion um in this case I'm working with other crews so um you want to make sure that this is properly installed by silly everything really well making sure that the water will drain properly into a into a drain as you know normally you know and you've seen in my videos so let's continue with that and then we're gonna do so just start and set our your drain so this is the the drain and you can see it's a pretty long drain the the trench drain has also some measurements over here that you can regular the height so by installing these little legs over here you can actually set the height on the bottom and the maximum which is going to be flush with the with a shower just a little bit recessed with it with a shower floor the finished shower floor so you want to make sure that you set out really well that you fastened as as good as you can don't perforate the shower liner obviously if you want to put some glue whatever used to set it up that's that's a possibility and just try to protect their the finishes because you know you work around you may be able to damage this section once you finish on you know with all the tile work in this case on them you know I didn't do them the video of the tile installation of the fault isolation you have seen some of them may be easily but once you finish you want to make sure that you clean because enhancement when they put them the grouting the tiles you know they may be able to I mean they may dirty the stuff here to clean it really well be careful use like a piece of wood stick and stuff that I don't compromise the finish this cases or raw bronze so you just place that stuff it's really easy to to remove and that's pretty much it so I hope you like a video thank you so much for watching if you're a subscriber thank you as always if you're not please subscribe and I see you next one bye bye
