YouTube fans Southeast Texas flounder pounder here I've had a couple of friends I'm asking me to present them a video of how I clean flounder and I'm going to use some smaller ones since it's the small ones they usually tend to give people the hardest time so I've already went ahead and rinsed the slime of these here so as you can see this is the bigger one and we're going to have some small ones that we're going to do here so I'll go ahead and do the smallest one show you guys how easy it is what I normally do here is you'll find where those heck pins are just find that little gut hook go all the way around it like that and I come up to the head other guys just go ahead and cut your head off with that I like to save my knife blade tear it off like you so God then I come into the light side like this find the top of the spine and then you work the meat off that White's a dish like that come to this side slice through those rib bones other side's think your blade all the way down the spine work it out to the edge come down here to the middle look that play off just like that off that white side no waste then you come back to the dark side stick your blade all the way in come out to that edge just like that I did leave some on that one a little bit but I mean shoot you're not gonna be worried about that type of fish waste right there so from here you'll see that there's some of these bones got left up top you normally cut all that off anyway and you're going to also find some bones that rub down for a run down here through the middle take your little V slice on that just like that come back here make sure you get those again find some bones running down the middle take your little beast lights like that and then from here it's just your standard filleting is good grip on the meat boom got you a fillet right there lock that into your refuse just like that that's what you get off that white side of a small flounder no waste their people say they don't normally do the white size because there's no meat you see there's plenty of meat there and there's that little bit cut we need to take out of that so anyway Next how it is just give it a good rinse take them all night good rant stickam oh nice that's it hope that was a formative enough for you please check back I'm going to be doing other updates about how to do stuffed flounder either socks or tacos and butterfly it open thank you for watching
