Please explain how to make a fridge magnet.

00:07 Speaker 1: G'day knuckleheads. Uncle Knacker's here. Now, from the get-go, I just got to let you
all know that today's video is a little bit arty-crafty, and not you useual DIY stuff. But what I'm gonna show you is how to make
the world's oldest fridge magnet. You heard it right, the world's oldest fridge
magnet. Stick around. 00:31 S1: Well, maybe not the oldest, but
close. And I think it's pretty cool. Extremely simple, but pretty cool. The idea came about when... I was sorting through the drawer that we all
have that contains nothing but loads of useless junk, and I came across some old coins that
I'd totally forgotten about. So I thought to myself, "What's the point
of having these old coins just sitting in the bottom of a drawer?" This one here is a 124 years old. This one here is 129 years old. They're a real talking point and a slice of
history, so I thought how can I put them on display, so that I can see them every day? And I thought, hey, what place do I visit
the most? The fridge. Hence, the idea of the fridge magnet, and
here's how to make one. And it couldn't be simpler. 01:22 S1: So for this project, what I have,
what I've rustled out from my junk drawer is a 1917 one-penny, which is at top left,
top right is an 1884 half-penny, bottom left is an 1889 one-penny and bottom right is one
florin at 1912. So there's a little bit of history there,
and pretty interesting stuff I reckon. So all you need to do is to determine which
face of the coin you want on display and then turn it over and attach one of these magnets
to the back of the coin. I'm just using a bit of super glue here. You could use a two-part epoxy or a craft
glue, whatever you have floating around the house. And the magnets that I use are these little
magnets. They're only little but they're called rare
earth magnets and they're incredibly strong, great for attaching things to your fridge. 02:24 S1: So if you just keep your eye on
that magnet there, and watch this. Bang. Gotcha. So there you have it. The magnets are now attached. So let's go on and stick some stuff to this
fridge. 02:37 S1: So here we go with our first magnet,
96 years of age. A fridge magnet. Love it. This one here, 101 years of age. Impressive. That's even older than I am. This one here, 124 years of age, a fridge
magnet. And this one here, a 129 years of age. Now that, my friend, is a slice of history
and it certainly beats whacking on in orange disc. Great tip, Knackers! 03:13 S1: Oh yeah, just in case you're wanting
to know how I got my name. This bit of paper here explains it. It was drawn by my nephew back in 2004, and
he's titled it Uncle Knackers. Cheeky bugger. Got the glasses and the spiky hair. Amazing. 03:32 S1: Now, if you thought that was a good
idea, subscribe to my channel, the button's down there. Thumbs up, the buttons down there, share and
comment. It's all greatly appreciated. And if you can come up with a fridge magnet
older than these babies, leave a comment, I'd love to hear about it. And, don't forget to check out my new Facebook
