hi and welcome to the ecology Action centers structural video and how to dispose of your latex paint it should not be your first option because the first option should be easiest and the easiest thing to do is to see if your friends or family can use the paint but if that's not available then why don't you try leaving the can out if it's under 1/4 of a can it should dry out in the Sun but you have to be careful because if you don't fully let it dry out it's gonna leave a wet spot in the middle and that's just gonna be busted up in the trash compactor and we have a mess all over the road and nobody wants to clean that up the other way the third way is to get your latex paint some newspaper in a large area and all you're gonna need to do is to take it and pour it out the thicker you pour it out the longer it's going to take to dry so let's go ahead and see if we can do it as you can see here I have my workspace which is a large area where I can sort out all these newspapers now I'm gonna try to pour this without spilling we'll see how we do well I'm actually gonna spit that out and Sipan get it even and we'll see if we can get this to dry as you see this is thoroughly dried out overnight and now we can just kind of be rolled up and throw it in the trash another recommendation is to not put kitty litter in latex paint order to dry it out because it always has a wet spot in the middle don't bring this into household hazardous waste because it's so easy to dispose about your home that is a waste of time and resources to bring you there and there's literally no better way to dispose of this besides using it if you want more information just contact us at ecology Action Center org
