I'm going to show you how to make strikes in John's wort so that you can use it externally it's really really useful for all sorts of different things externally as you'll see from your data sheets usually when you harvest the hair you harvest the hair before the flowers but twisting John's wort it really is better particularly who you're making an infused oil which is what we're about to do here but you wait until st. John's wort starts to flower I showed you one method for making infused oils and the video for sale feel I'm going to show you a different method today using the some John's wort and you can use whichever one suits theory you know within John's wort you can see here that these flowers once a pope and this is one that's just about to open there are some flavors here that have died back and if you can rate up to the top they are they're about to open so what we're going to do is I plot a clean dry jam jar and I'm going to snip off the tops of this enjoins word I'll leave that because that will open and I'll put them in the jar doesn't it look beautiful lovely so there's this enjoins wort in the jam jar now I have here some sunflower oil and all I'm going to do is pour it on top here we are so the whole plant is covered in the oil perfect put the lid on and that then and I'm going to leave in the earring cupboard or the watch press for six weeks and this is a slow method of extracting oil when we did it before it is it's in the pan and it was ready in three hours and what that method is basically keeping the the warmth produced if you just leave it in the hoard press and eating or eating covered and for six weeks then that will slowly extract the flowers fun this actually so strong that it makes the oil school rancid so I don't recommend it I think it's much much better to be and are a warm dark place because late again damages oil that makes it go rancid so I think it's much much better to be and the the eating coverage next to the hot water tank somewhere that's warm and just to let it slowly infuse so you leave that for six weeks and doesn't it just look beautiful I mean just looking at it with cheer your heart and so that's enjoy sport leave it for six weeks and I have a little here length from last year and you can see it is the most beautiful red color and that tends to be more relief made it from stalks and the leaves the more flowers you get into it the more and read your oil will be and the the sunnier it has been when you've harvested the flowers the more rate your oil will be it's I think it's to do with the Sun increasing the oil component and the flowers so it really is the hair up of sunshine to collect and in a very sunny summer and neat lots of oil from and that then it should infused oil which you can then apply meat it's very good for to help to ease nerve pain like sciatica it can also help to ease their pain from shingles our or you can then use it as basis to make anointment and yet there are videos for showing you how to make an ointment on the sale field lesson and it's an extremely useful thing to have so there we are so join sport infused oil from the plant to this to this
