hello this is story from hemp jewelry by Dorie and ft.com today I'm gonna show you how to do a vertical larks head knot chain this is a very cool knot you can do a lot of things with it you can hang little trinkets from Ed even I'll show you how to do that and another upcoming tutorial it's also a very bulky not so let's get started I'm gonna start on my left side and as you can see I've already gotten started but what you're gonna need to do is you're going to need to separate your strands first see how I have four strands and I have my two carrier strands right here and I had them pinned down because that just makes it easier with this type of not to have your carrier strands pinned down and still and I have my working cords on the left so they're separated equally if I have to then there's gonna be one on each side so the first thing that I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take my working cords you back it up a little bit so you can see me better and I'm bringing this over top of my carrier cords and I'm bringing it underneath and through this hole that I've made and then it's gonna be going over top this bottom part here so I'm gonna stop and show you what I've done so far we went we took the strands and we went over top they carry your strands and then it went underneath the carrier strands and then it's laying over top on the left side here okay so the next thing I'm gonna do is I'm going to take my working cord and I'm going underneath my carrier cords and now exclude it back yet another time now I'm going to take and I'm gonna put it through this hole in the middle here we're going through right here we went over my carrier strands through this hole okay now it's all set to go but now what I need to do is I'm gonna need to tighten up each side separately because if you don't tighten up your side separately then one side or the other will not be tightened up just right sometimes you might need to push it up a little bit cuz this night has a tendency to leave gaps now I'm tightening up my second side might have to pull each strand separately but sometimes they have a tendency to get away from each other okay so there we have it I'm gonna try to give you a closer look my larks head knot if you would like more tips on how to make empty and tie macrame knots you can subscribe to my channel how to make necklaces thank you so very much for tuning in with me today have a wonderful day
