hello here is a short video demonstrating how I change the clip on my ever last chain link swivel the procedure is similar for all chain link swivels if possible at the size of the master link may be different but for this particular swivel the link is an ansi number 60 the packaging says it's 3/4 pitch by 1/2 width if you were to measure the link itself you would see that it is approximately 3/4 of an inch from the inside to the first date ant and the total length of the post is 1 inch if you were to measure the distance center to Center you would see that senator Center is approximately 3/4 of an inch these are available online for between 1 and 5 dollars I got this one for 99 cents I bought a whole bunch of them just because the shipping is free and I didn't want to take advantage of them I start with a little dielectric grease which is really silicone lubricant it comes out nice and clean and clear but does eventually get dirty and so you'll want to take care to protect your clothing and everything else in the vicinity I'm not going to use it right now because just like because when I eat spaghetti I will get it all over the place but essentially you would put a little dab on your finger and then you would wipe it on the bottom post wipe it on the top post with a speed bag would go and it just helps everything slide along there is no top and bottom here by the way and this is how you do it you put the post through the swivel the speed bag goes on this end you put on the retaining plate and then if you'll notice the clip is wider in the middle and what you do is you place it on the post in the middle and make sure it's captured in the day tops I think you can see that and then with the regular pair of pliers you just catch you get a firm grip on the swivel you catch the top of the clip you catch the bottom of the post and you give us squeeze now I prefer to have the top of this clip facing away from the speed bag there is a small chance that you may catch that with your finger one day and it'll probably don't be more painful than if it was facing away from you take it off is a little more challenging but same procedure just in Reverse you take the pliers you catch the top of the post you try to catch the bottom of the clip you give a little squeeze and it pops right off and then it goes flying across the room and there you have it I'll do that one more time to risk ruining an otherwise pretty good take so here we go post goes in retaining plate goes on the clip goes on you catch it in the de taunts you catch the bottom of the post in the top of the clip of the pliers give it a squeeze and there you go it's on and to take it off catch the bottom of the clip top of the post and encourage it a little bit there you have it okay yeah I'm going to show off the swivel for a moment it's an old Everlast chain link swivel made of steel and aluminum very nicely machined very fine threading nice tight bearings nice wide neck and I miss having these around they're not as hard to use as you might think okay enjoy your punching stay safe
