hey guys age from the squishy monster.com and today we're going to do a bubble tea milkshake and you can do this with whatever you have like a one that's lying around but I'm gonna do mine with durian and I know a lot of you are gonna be like oh that's really gross and I know personally my life I don't know anybody who likes durian not even a little bit but it's something that I really like and it's really stinky and it's banned in a lot of places in a lot of countries I mean it's that intense now obviously you can do yours with whatever flavor you like but like I said I really personally love durian and I'm not gonna lie it kind of looks like alien babies or something and it smells very intense it's a very bold smell and I can smell it even from here and I'm a couple inches away I'm a couple feet away actually and you I can still smell it and it looks like this and I'm choosing an opting out of actually cutting into a fresh one for myself the very first time I ever tried to prepare durian for myself I cut myself up pretty badly this is what it looks like and it's very spiky and hard and you have to cut in between the pods to get this meat out and then sometimes you're unlucky and you get unripened fruit which really sucks because you put it all that hard labor into getting this fruit so I really like the frozen bit and I like it because it also makes my shake really cold and the doreen itself is very creamy so there's a bunch of different reasons why I like durian and to this shake I'm going to add some yogurt both fat plain yogurt or you can use a flavored one if you'd like maybe a banana banana or vanilla to cut through the dream if you're gonna do it some milk and some sweetener and not you can use agave honey or sugar simple syrup whatever you have or like laying around and of course you're gonna need the tapioca pearls and these are pretty inexpensive I think I got my whole bag and it's um an 8 ounce bag I got it for about $2 with them and this is what they look like and they'll get all puffed up and chewy they'll be like kind of like gummy bears in a sense when you cook them off and I'll show you exactly how to do that right my water is boiling and I'm going to dip my and you want this to come to a boil and everything all the instructions complete details will be found on my blog the special Montcalm got a slotted spoon and I'm just going to occasionally stir it so they don't clump up together here are my fat squishy little balls of tapioca and they've been going on a very roaring high heat for about five to ten minutes and they've plumped up a significant amount as you can see from when they first begin and all I have to do now is I've patted it high I'll bump it down to low medium to low heat and clamp the top top on very tightly and leave it for another five minutes or so and then they'll be ready this whole preparation of the tapioca pearl should be a no-brainer but if you're in doubt just take a spotted spoon like this and periodically just taste one of them they should be the consistency of really truly gummy bears they'll be squishy and it'll puff up in the off flip to the top and they're ready and I've drained and rinsed them and they're just sitting in some sugar water which is just sugar in some water because the pearls it's offer very unsweet and you want just a little hint of sweetness in my blender I just have my sweetener and equal parts of yogurts my milk and the durian meat and just FYI you do there are ears of feed in the center and I got these two like that and then I'm gonna blend the whole thing together I want to show you guys how I'm going to assemble using a slotted spoon I'm going to get some of my bubbles out look at that aren't they pretty I love when things jiggle like that I know I'm weird I like dirty and I like things a jiggle get such a kick out of it I'm gonna layer it on the bottom of my cup and I really like the rainbow ones cuz they're just so they're so colorful and then on top of that I'm gonna pour it in my durian shake and it's gonna be so thick and creamy look at that you can see the colorful little bubbles peeking through on the bottom got this creamy little durian concoction on the top and then in the best part is you have this whole cup of bubbles to play with the rest the week you can put on frozen yogurt ice cream gelato any type of dessert look at those cute little squishy little balls they're so pretty I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial I'm gonna go sit down and enjoy this class by myself somewhere far away so nobody can complain about the stench thanks so much for watching you guys this is the squishy monster and I'll see you guys soon
