its melody lane I have just released a easel card now I want to show you how to make one in that video I didn't show you how to make one start with a new project I showed you how I made mine but I didn't show you how for you to do it now you can do this in Cricut Craft Room the same way I'm doing it here except for in Cricut Craft Room you cannot add the score lines and you can just cut this with a piece of paper also and make your own totally you don't have to have yours rounded and I need a square so I'm gonna search square okay let's pick this one up whoops I'm not done let's hit circle you need a circle oh let's hit this one looks like a me it just doesn't matter what cart either from let's put this let's edit this we're gonna make this 5.5 wide and we're gonna make this 5.5 wide and we need this to be different than a square we actually need it to be a rectangle I want this I'm going to match these up see these little points right here I'm gonna match those up at the top of this one here and I'm just gonna place it they're not gonna attach it at all now I want my whole card to be 11 inches so to make this easier I'm gonna go ahead and place this up here and we're gonna select the circle so we can match that up and we need this to be 11 inches so I'm just going to drag this line here and go down to 11 inches from the top here to the bottom here is 11 inches you can click this little thing here to see the inches okay so now we can weld these together I'm gonna click one hit shift-click the other and click weld in the layers panel there we go now I also want to move this out zoom in whoops I sewed it a little too far and it looks pretty good you can just barely see it a little notch there and there but it's okay that's where we're gonna put the scoreline okay that wasn't all the way let me check see if it's okay so now we got to find the score line let's zoom that insert image type in score you can type in score line if you like and it'll be the first one make sure it's green click insert image and here it is and we want this horizontal so we're going to go over here to the Edit panel and we're going to hit this and we have this all the way up to the top and I know this is 11 inches so we want this to be placed at 2.75 and that's the wrong one I just get those mixed up 2.75 that's the height and I'm just gonna move it over by hitting the arrow keys on the keyboard and I'm gonna hit it all the way over to that so that gray circle will be on the edge and then I'll make it longer there we go I guess what I'm gonna do next duplicate so just hit duplicate on the layers panel at the bottom and we'll get another one and to make sure this is in the right spot we're gonna do half of 11 inches and that's 5.5 inches so that's where we're gonna place it here 5.5 on the y1 and it actually put it in the exact right spot how awesome is that if we go to cut it's not gonna put these in the right spot we have to attach them what I like to do first is attach them to each other so we have one selected I'm gonna hit ctrl and I'm gonna select the other one over here just so I make sure I have these selected and not the background and I'm gonna hit attach so that will attach them together if I want to move them it's so much easier now we're gonna grab those and I'm gonna attach it to here make sure we have everything touch that we want to attach oh and here's the shadow and we do need a circle to make this one and to tell you the truth when I do the circle I've only done this once or twice and then I just saved it so I forgot but when I do the circle let's bring this to the top before I weld it I usually duplicate it I'm just gonna make it 5.5 there we go there now when this is folded I glue this part onto the folded piece will fold it oops we fold it here on the score line in the score line both the same ways and then we glue this to this piece and part of it will be sticking up and this will be all folded down and I'll show you in the card that's all I'm gonna show you in design space of how to make one and you and this is just with a circle you can do it with a square also but I prefer the circle and you can put any images on this you want so let me show you the one I made with the Anna Griffin images on it okay so here's my card this is what it looks like pulled it up and this is what it looks like open isn't it awesome now if you want to see how I made this keep watching I show how we do the rosettes and how I pretty much did everything keep watching and if you liked this card click like on my video it helps other people see it too so I have all my pieces cut out and I had to cut them out like these rosettes I needed them to be smaller and so I just shrunk them down to be smaller well that didn't work I tried to cut them out twice and all of these things were all ripped up because I have so small they were they were only like this big they were half the size of this because it's gonna sit on top of the circle I only wanted them to be like half the size so when it's together and it will only be in here but this one's probably gonna go over that a little bit I don't know we'll see so how I made these in design space is I put a score line break through the center and I only did it to one eye size the one and then I added the score line to only one of these and I changed the score line to a cup line by clicking in the layers panel and clicking on the little score tool like where you hit for the color you just change it to scissors and I don't cut for you so now we got bonus pieces so I have it shorter while this image stays the same see how and then we got bonus images can take these and see the score lines out if you can see them I don't know but they're there and everybody complains about the score lines and saying that they can't hardly see them and they don't know where to fold um well they probably fold easily all you have to do is bend the paper and so I think we can make some extra rosettes with these tiny ones and make small rosettes but first let me show you I already folded a couple of these and to tell you the truth I'm not sure how many okay so but I'm gonna show you how to fold them you just fold one side down one side up and trying to keep the folds the same on all of them and I don't even I know I'm supposed to do that but I don't even know if I did or not really wasn't paying attention this thing look the same because there's no tabs on these in a lot of the ones in the Cricut cartridges there's well tab to glue to the next one these don't have tab so you just pull the whole thing I'm guest I don't know we'll see these are actually the first Anna Griffin cart pieces I've cut out since the Explorer so now I'm going to show you how to make the rosette I do it on a silicon mat that is the glue gun man first I'm going to put these together put glue here I find that Google gun helps a lot with rosettes good to see your fingers I'm gonna need one more actually this might be too big I'm gonna cut a little bit of it off just cause I think it's just a teeny bit so you can just cut it anyway I cut that much off like three little things so I gotta cut one more you got to cut an even number so it all fits together now what I do is fill the center with glue put a little glue around it push it back together see and hold it there for a minute this is a dual temp glue gun and it's on hot right now so it takes longer to dry so I am going to this rosette actually comes like with a circle but I'm gonna just gonna hold this till it cools a little bit I am going to put a butterfly on it push it all together that's hot that's how you make a rosette okay and something I should have done before I put the butterfly on is use my chalks this is pearlescent chalks I'm gonna use this color just go around the edge of the butterfly and today they're supposed to be announcing a new Cricut cartridge don't know what it is but I know it's not just digital it's an actual cartridge okay then I'm gonna rub it through the white and just highlight the center just to give them a little more dimension okay ready for the next step let's do the base for the card okay this is an easel card and I did this in design space my patrons will get the file for all of this okay and you just fold this in half this is on with the score tool and my Explorer and some people say you can hardly see it but it still works if you just bend it the fold line shows up and then just and my hands are horrible I did hair color today my nails get done tomorrow and my hands are really just I had to stop for a minute because my camera ran out of space I have a problem of not deleting the videos so and then I forgot you have an extra piece I forgot about this close on top of that and while you were calling I shaded the edges of this with some chalk I kinked the edges of the square with a rectangle with some ink and I'm gonna pop this up okay so that's how many I put glitter this Center lives and I have some Cod this butterfly this is gonna go on here and I'm going to put adhesive just on this middle part this is going to sit on here so we're only going to put adhesive on the bottom half of it here this is gonna go right on top of that I also made an extra rosette out of the extra pieces that got cut off of the rosettes and this is only two of them and I cut part of it off so can have two extra rosettes so here's the card and a prompt with some gems okay here's my card here's the inside and it will sit up like this and if the butterfly and some jobs these gems you only see when it's oh when it's closed come here it's not awesome I love it it's like a melody make it now all you have to do is click on the file and you can cut this if you have the Anna Griffin content if you don't have the Anna Griffin content then it'll just cost you 99 cents I think for each piece okay guys thanks for watching I love you and I'll see you in the next video bye I'd like to thank my co-sponsors for this video Debbie warnky Stephanie - Christa Williams Shari Olson Carolyn French and misty Kelly thanks everybody love
